Hi Roz,
I have just finished whatching Faces of Strenght. And your personal story made me realize there really is hope for me as well. I too, was diagnosed May 6, 2009. The worst day of my life. when I heard the news. I immediately felt lifeless. Then a week later or so, I was told I was HER2 positive, and in stage 2, and just when I thought there would be no more bad news. the breast Cancer cells traveled to another part of my body. So that was it for me. I wanted no more bad news, So I decided to go to Rush in Chicago.
And that is where I was told I could go on to live many many years. And also where I saw you on the elevator. And asked you if you were Roz.
You were with your camera guy. I wanted so badly to ask you about your bout with Breast Cancer. But I didn't want to bother you. But I just wanted to say Thank you so much for sharing your story. you really gave me more hope, for the future.
Sincerly Debi Taylor
I too, am a Cancer Survivor(NHL), who just met Roz Veron this past Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Rush's Cancer Survivor Celebration. She was kind enough to stop and take a picture with me.
