I don't know how you make your selections of "People" or "Places to know, but my suggestion is "Erskine Reeves", Salon & Spa located in Glendale Heights, IL. I am a customer and just visited his new salon and was very impressed. It's classy,spacious and offers many choices of services for women and men.

The owner is a young, black man who has gone from a small salon to a larger place that offers services galor with a super atmosphere of welcoming, caring and wonderful service.

He is someone you want to know in a place you want to see.

Now that Oprah has anounced that she will be leaving in 2011, its not too soon to look for replacements.
I originally thought you would fill the bill but I dont think you like the hectic schedule. Lets face it what Oprah has done is total dedication that left no room for a husband and children.

I would suggest a team approach such as Regis and Kelly, might work best. Its just too much for one individual to carry for a long time. You could also try various hosts until one fits alone or as a couple. Maybe Oprah will select someone who is currently having their own show.

To the writer who suggested Erskine Reeves. I just want to say I hav never had a worse experience. In my opinion, it is the worst salon I have ever been to. It is dirty, the staff is unprofessional and the service is subpar. You are better off taking your money elsewhere.
