OK, psychology majors, let's think about this. The governor of the state of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, is arguing for mercy for the former and imprisoned governor of the state of Illinois, George Ryan.

As FBI agents and U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald circle their wagons in Operation Board Games ever more tightly around the Blagojevich administration, suddenly this governor feels the pain of another.

Former Commerce Secretary and now Obama transition team advisor, Bill Daley talks about the Obama team of economic advisors and the challenges ahead. The interview airs on Chicago Tonight on WTTW/Channel 11 at 7PM CST tonight.

EEEK! Never underestimate the impact of a big, hairy, muscular Chicago rat running across the richly textured carpet of a Palmer House Hilton dining room packed with guests who'd just eaten a lovely dinner served from the kitchen where said rat may have just emerged.

President-elect Barack Obama, practitioner of consensus and preacher of civility, made a singular statement by choosing Rep. Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff, the first hire of the new administration.

If I weren't already convinced that this election is like no other in our history, two people I know very well made the case for me last week.

Because neither wants to be identified, I'll call them Voter No. 1 and Voter No. 2.
The only thing these two men have in common is that they're white. Otherwise, they're from different planets.
