- has long thought it's a good idea. "I think he's got to show . . . the kind of people he would bring into the government,
- he was in New York going after Omar Abdel Rahman for the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. Though some of us believe the federal government has gone far beyond proper limits on warrantless wiretaps and other post-9/11 surveillance,
- in the Plamegate fiasco,
- is apolitical. He put Republicans like former Gov. George Ryan in prison. He put Democrats from the Daley administration behind bars. Second,

- like the Bushies,
- Minow said several months ago, convinced that Obama,
- Obama can rip the "reform" rug out from under their feet (beyond debunking Palin's erroneous claim that she killed the already-dead "Bridge To Nowhere.") Fitzgerald,
- Obama has moved more in the glinty-eyed Fitzgerald's direction on these matters as Election Day approaches. Selecting Fitzgerald would send a tough-on-terrorism message. And finally,

- which gets away from all this petty bickering that's been dominating politics for the last eight or 10 years." Others in Camp Obama might think it's an unworkable idea and something that hasn't historically been done. But since the country has never seen,
- who also won the conviction of Vice President Dick Cheney's right-hand man,
- whose political pedigree goes all the way back to the Kennedy administration,
- why not continue to do what's never been done? I'm with Minow on this. Arguably
