If there is one thing that is certain in the world of college basketball recruiting it is that nothing is ever certain. There is no question that things can change in the blink of an eye, and this past weekend's commitments from Zion-Benton's Lenzelle Smith and Seton Academy's D.J. Cooper are proof of that. Not only that, but when one player commits it often has a great effect on the decision of another, and we believe that with Smith and Cooper now in the fold, there are some other prospects whose recruitments will end up going in a different direction.

After watching most all of Whitney Young's top players in action this past weekend, we thought of an interesting question that is sure to generate some discussion: Who is the top college prospect on Whitney Young's loaded boy's basketball team? We found out this past weekend that Drew Crawford was ready to close out his recruitment, and sure enough that is what the 6'4 guard has decided to do. We had heard about all of the hype surrounding 5'10 freshman point guard Antonio Drummond from Peoria Central. However, we needed to see for ourselves. After watching Drummond at the Illinois Spot-Lite Fall Exposure Shootout, we are now going on record saying that he is the real deal. In fact, we have not seen a better prospect in Illinois from the class of 2012.
