More on Chicago aldermanic race

As we get closer to Chicago's aldermanic election, we at the Sun-Times Homelife section decided to clarify the job and function of an alderman as the voters head to the polls. Freelancer Tracey Robinson-English did an excellent job reporting on aldermanic priviledge in our New Neighbors' Guide to Chicago What does your alderman do?

We also asked the question: Why do we have 50 aldermen? It's a fact that Chicago has more "leadership" per person than any major city in the US. There's good and bad to it. There's more to the package — take a gander.
