Special Assessment Shock

We ran an excellent package of stories last week by business reporter Sandra Guy that looked at condominium owners in Chicago who are receiving special assessements on their units as high as $100,000. You can read the story The Perfect Shock and access the sidebars that look at what the city of Chicago could do to limit these problems.

We also look at how
the South Prairie District Neighborhood Alliance is organizing to fight back against developers who they say are walking away from these issues.

Have you seen similar situations in your condo development?
