HB4050 why?

I talked with Sue Hofer at the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, and she said the transcripts and documents from the recent hearings on the state HB4050 pilot (some would say 'brouhaha') will be released soon, after they have been 'cleaned' up. I'm looking forward to seeing them.

Meanwhile, when RealtyTrac announced
numbers
on foreclosures in Chicago, I asked them to do a special run on the HB4050 zip codes.

I'll be running the 4050 zip numbers tomorrow.

Greater minds than mine, such as The Economist, are looking at the
financial industry perspective
of these developments. Also Wikipedia offers a definition of mortgage-backed securities , which starts out simple and gets progressively fancy — informative nonetheless.
