Sadhu Johnston

Today, we profiled Sadhu Johnston, Chicago's Commissioner of the Environment, in our column. Take a gander. We received some information past our deadline, so I am adding it here.

Sadhu told me that Chicago currently has a number of LEED certified residential high-rises under way. Here's the list of what he knows about. If you know of more in the city or the suburbs, send an email to Homelife@suntimes.com with green construction in the subject line -- Ciao!

340 E. Randolph (340 on the Park): 62-story, 344 unit condo tower,
first LEED residential high-rise in Chicago, seeking basic LEED
Certified

680 N. Rush (Canyon Ranch): 67-story mixed-used tower with 385
residential and hotel condo units, spa/wellness center, office space,
restaurant, parking garage, seeking basic LEED Certified

515 N. Peshtigo Ct. (River East Parcel 24): 57-story, 358 condo tower
with parking garage, seeking basic LEED Certified

The Helmut Jahn Single Room Occupancy at Clyborn and Division.

Westhaven Park- Phase 2B- Energy Star certification on all units. This
is a CHA project. 150 units.
