Chicago 2016: Are you on board?

Pedestrians pass a giant TV promoting Chicago's Olympic bid near Daley Plaza.

OK, we here at Full Court Press have put it off long enough. We've listened to all the debate about Chicago's 2016 Olympic bid. We've read the opinions of the local newspaper columnists, from the wary skepticism of the Sun-Times' Rick Telander to the near-unanimous endorsement from the Tribune's ensemble. Now it's time we posed the question to you:

Do you hope to hear Chicago's name called shortly before noon (Central time) on Friday, when the International Olympic Committee announces the 2016 host city? Why or why not?

We admit to having mixed emotions. Professionally, it would of course be a very good thing. Newspapers and their brethren thrive on huge stories, so it's little wonder that the local media have climbed aboard the 2016 bandwagon. For seven years, we would have an opportunity to examine the Olympic process up close and personal, and the result would be plentiful and fascinating story angles involving local news, business and sports. The media would be a big part of the story, which is why you read so many glowing accounts about the wonders of the Olympic experience: If you're in the media, you get to go to the events, meet the athletes, talk to the visiting fans. You're invited to the party, so naturally it seems like a wonderful thing.

Of course, if you're an Average Joe, forget about it. The tickets are much too pricey and difficult to acquire. You'll end up watching it all on TV, same as you will if the games are awarded to Rio. If you live in Chicago, you will have to put up with countless inconveniences, the shutdown of streets and lakefront facilities, the tedious traffic jams and the misplaced priorities. And, as a taxpayer, you will be on the hook for any and all cost overruns, as rubber-stamped by the cheerleading City Council.

Local history tells us it's the movers-and-shakers, the power-brokers, who will cash in on the Chicago Olympics. Mayor Daley's legacy will be ensured, and those with clout will reap rich rewards. Now, are all those who are engineering Chicago's Olympic bid in it for themselves? Of course not. The vast majority are upstanding, civic-minded individuals who are absolutely convinced they are acting in the city's best interests. They may well be right. But it's debatable how much the general populace will benefit, in terms of new jobs, new construction, increased tourism. Who knows what the economy will look like seven years from now? Chicago as a whole likely will gain some tangible lasting benefits, some invaluable enhancement of its image, but at this point, that's difficult to quantify.

At FCP, we're predicting that Chicago will get the Games and hoping it proves to be a blessing. Although Rio may be the sentimental choice (because South America never has hosted an Olympics), in these uncertain economic times, it's hard to beat the practicality and security of a U.S. site. And if there's one thing you can be sure about with the IOC, it's that it will follow the money trail.

What's your prediction? We'd also like to hear your thoughts on whether you support Chicago's bid and are pulling for the Games to come here. If you live in the city, how concerned are you about the potential impact on your daily routine and your pocketbook? Do you care that much one way or the other about the 2016 Olympics? All things considered, will you be excited if you hear Chicago announced as the winner on Friday morning?

Not gonna happen. I am disappointed too. That is why the U.S. is the only country that didn't send a 'head of state'. If we(ahem, I mean Chicago) were not the last choice unanimously. Our 'head of state
would have went. Michelle should have taken something instead of Oprah (gosh her makeup in photo on front page is excessive-that makes her a thing, and not a person). She should have went there armed with Chicago Hot dogs....who would say no in the face of a Vienna with sport peppers ,celery seed, and joyful neon green stuff ??
Alas, we have the same chance of luring the Olympics, as Geno's
East has luring someone from Chicago to eat there (tourist pizza.....yuck!!!!! Phil's in Oak lawn..........Yesssss!)
I'm still crossing my fingers that the most underrated, overlooked city in the world, gets it's much deserved recognition as the most beautiful city in the whole world. What could we possibly do to top the opening ceremony that China had(good luck London)? Synchronized Snow Plows?

I would like to see it, but check out this article if you want to know whats behind it..

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/09/18/olympic-sized-boondoggle-what-valerie-jarrett-and-michelle-obama-are-up-to/

I tell you, Oprah has a good thing going.

She earns millions hawking her book about how to eat, exercise and live life, then balloons up again so she can go thru the process another time (followed by another weep-fest on her couch, then a book, video, etc., etc.).

Consumers are dupes.

One last thought... the Big O must eat like a cow. How else can someone who has her own private chef, exercise physiologist, sports pyschologist, nutritionist, hedonologist, dipstickologist, yesmaniatrist and numerologist get so freaking large???

Perhaps it's the cold winters?

It's much too difficult to judge the state of our area, as well as the economic overall condition of the country, in 2016, but as a union worker I can't help but realize there will be some doors open for a lot of brethren that are sitting at home.

Between the C.T.A. upgrades, neighborhood enhancements, police and fire focus, and the possibility of some lasting positives, I say go for it. The way things are being run now, I think being under a major microscope for the next 7 years might be just what this, often bent, political scene could use.

Then again, the feeding frenzie may bring the sharks from everywhere.

That's OK, nothing a good slap on the nose can't cure.

Bring It!!!

"H" to the Nizzo!!!

Telander (below) is one of the best writers in this city. He has of course outlined my personal concerns - which are for the poor and defenseless. Nobody cared about Michael Reese or Washington Park until now. Folks who lived there and used the hospital WILL NOT BENEFIT. The poor have lost their hospital and they will lose their homes for NO PROFIT. This crap is all about the rich, powerful and plugged in. They are not hurt by the current recession like the lower middle class and the poor. I grew up playing in Washington Park. It has never been a concern in Chicago - AT ALL. It does not look like ANY of the well maintained parks on the Northside or in other affluent neighborhoods!!! No waterparks and sculptures and statues. Now its going to be gentrified just like Michael Reese and the entire South Lakefront. And all of those folks in Coppenhagen DO NOT CARE. Tickets are $1000 each and the people being "inconvenienced" will not benefit AT ALL. And I believe HALF of the money raised will be STOLEN by Daley's "connections". All of the contracts will go to friends and cronies. Folks getting paid - will not be from that neighborhood, but from any and everywhere but that neighborhood. They will come down and feast on that money, enjoy the olympics and go back to their palatial roosts in the suburbs. But what is really evil is that lower middle class folks like myself will get STUCK paying taxes for this foolishness which we will not even be able to afford to attend. Us hard working, scrumming Chicagoans at the bottom will be inconvenienced with the traffic and congestion. It will be a big exclusive party in our neighborhood where everyone will be having a ball and making money but us. And that's Chicago in a nutshell.

Corruption City

The big whoop-de-do will not take place for seven years, remember. And here we are in a town where kids get killed as if in a war zone. And our schools are terrible. And our streets are worse. And our city is in debt. And our feudal government runs on backroom deals and clout and eats corruption for breakfast.

We will wonder if this Olympic gift -- this privilege meted out by a committee that reminds one not so much of an evaluation team as a court of multitudinous kings, queens and fops -- is really much ado about, as the No Games Chicago foes put it, ''a three-week party''?

We will mortgage our city's future for that?

We will sacrifice our children and their education for that?

We will let the fat cats purr -- as they always do -- for that?

Chicago will be on the hook for cost overruns should we get the bid. That's part of the deal. That's what Mayor Daley sold to the International Olympic Committee, and what all the city's aldermen, some nearly climbing onto their City Hall desks and raising beer steins in high salute, seconded.

Yeah, there would be annoying tourists, hellacious traffic, excessive construction, and dirty politicians getting greased up the wazoo, but you accept all that because of what kind of opportunity this would bring to Chicago and its residents.

It's a once in a life time event right in our back yards. Chicago could really shine. This would also be Mayor Daley's legacy, so of course he would do everything in his power to make sure it goes well.

I have two main concerns.

First is that whatever is built is reusable after the Olympics are over. There are the stories of empty buildings in Athens from their Olympics.

Second, how will Chicago handle the insane crowds? Will we have enough policeman and transit to accommodate? Daley has his work cut out for him since even simple matters like concerts and The Taste' seem cause massive human congestion.

Now we just have to come up with a Chicago Olympic mascot!

Go Chicago 2016 !

I never wanted it here.

Too many corrupt people would have their hands in the cookie jar.
Too many average residents would be inconvenienced while not having a change in hell of going to the events even if they wanted to.
Too many unanswered questions about who foots the bill when the cost over runs pile up. (I said WHEN, not IF) Look at what happen in Millennium Park. They could not even plant grass without it going deep in the red.
Too many opportunities for the city to get a black eye when some out of towners wander away from the events and get their heads bashed in and have it posted on Youtube. If kids cannot even walk home from school without getting attacked then what do you think is going to happen to some stranger from another country with a nice camera hanging around their neck?
Too many local hicks who would be happy to have 5,000 performers dressed like the Blues Brothers as an answer the show that China put on when they held the games.
Too many opportunities for terrorists to try and make a statement by hitting America in the heartland.

No permanent stadium or structures that will benefit the city after the crowds are gone.
No new jobs or lucrative contracts available to anyone who is not “connected”
No guarantee that the city can handle the crowds and the mess that we saw the last two years at the Taste proves that.

The city of Montreal just finished paying off its debt for the 1976 games and all they have to show for it is an ugly empty stadium.
With the Mayor having already mortgaged the future of this city with his get money quick deals this would be a killer if it does not turn a good profit and there are too many shady characters involved to hope for that.

Sorry, in my All Things Oprah rant, I forgot to answer the basic question.

Yes, the Olympics are just the type of event Chicago and Illinois politicians drool over. The patronage opportunities are vast, the smarminess could reach the nth degree, and just think of the photo ops!!!!

Blago is no doubt ruing the day he was removed from office. He could have made millions!!!!

Culzie that link is off the chain! The rich are going to have money fight. The poor will get exploited. And ALL taxpayers are going to pay.

Daley and his friends are going to get paid just like Bush did off his war! No Bid Contracts!

All this talk about corruption...what garbage. The crooks -just like there are in any city- will have to be on their best behavior. If China, the most evil, corrupt country to have or ever exist, can do
it, anyone can. We have no where near the problem that China had. Remember that warm fuzzy feeling e1 had towards China? It's because,
the op-poser's were silenced and disregarded as irrational people looking to facilitate their own interests. Are you too going to be silenced? Or are you just jealous because your palms aren't being greased. Maybe you are mad because you can't stay in your room when company comes? Or maybe you are to lazy to do your share of housework
for your company. Your parents always know what is best for you. Chicago is your daddy bizatches. It owns you.

hey Chicago back your town our President is. I lived in Chicago over 40 years. Not the best not the worst but it's Chicago my kind of town

I don't want the Olympics, mostly because there is no way a city governed by the most crooked mayor ever to walk the lands can do this and look good. The city, its workers, aldermen and police force can hardly get through regular life without effing something up; can you imagine if the spectre of a multi-billion dollar Olympics looms? Can you imagine the crowds on Michigan Ave. when millions more tourists come for the Olympics? Can you imagine the lines at Kuma's Corner or Hot Dougs?

I would have more faith in, and perhaps would welcome, the Olympic bid if I felt the city could get back up on its feet of its own volition, not because it needs to look pretty as it readies for the debutante ball.

Culzie, Michelle Malikn makes excellent points in her article. It seems Ald. Joe Moore has been a one man wrecking crew on this subject. It also doesn't surprise me one bit Ald. Munoz is on the other side of the fence; sht, his Dad was the one selling illegal document photos in Little Village!!! Talk about being on the other side of the FENCE!

Anyway, the one key issue here is if TIF money doesn't end up going to the Olympics (that, of course, if we don't get them), these City Hall knuckleheads will probably dwindle it away in the wrong direction regardless. The track record is horrendous. If not, we would't be in a half billion dollar hole now. It's almost like a junkie telling his partner he's gonna use the crack money to go gamble on the boat.

From the Governor on down to the neighborhood kids, this city is in a deep downward spiral. I'm up for a lift, and if the Olympics can push the carousel in the opposite direction and improve what I believe to be a White House overseeing, I'm going to the boat.

Crack kills!

It's the pefect match - the corrupt IOC members with their hands out with the most corrupt city there is.

Who WOULDN'T want the Olmpics - you have:
- the most abrasive business man I've ever met (Pat Ryan)
- the most corrupt mayor in the US
- massive fraud and cost over-runs just waiting to happen
- massive debt left to the people of Chicago (look at history)
- self promoters running to the announcement like bunch of moths

What's not to like?

Chicago hosting the Olympics would bolster the image of our City to a worldwide audience and provide much needed infrastructure improvements, jobs, revenue and benefits. We are in the grips of an economic recession and downturn which has devastated projected revenues and created a massive deficit within the City budget. The global recession is beyond Mayor Daley's control. He certainly deserves criticism and scorn for some of the shenanigans that occurred on his watch; hired trucks, Shakman violations, and other various scandals.

The Mayor realizes that winning the bid for the Olympics would provide much needed revenue and jobs within the local economy. Yes he's going after it like a drowning man grabs a life preserver. He's sharp enough to see that garnering the Olympic bid would provide immediate benefits to bolster the local economy through what remains of the global recession.

I'm a lifelong Chicagoan and I want to see the Olympics held in Chicago as a matter of civic pride. Every four years I have faithfully watched the games and am familiar with the rich history, pagentry and glory of sports which is the Olympics. Chicago has always been enthusiastic supporters of both professional and amateur sports.

There will be some inconveniences, bumps along the road, and political scoundrels caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Still it will be a once in a lifetime event and in the end I'm certain that Chicagoans have the inner resolve to host an inspiring and unforgettable Olympics. We have a rich sports history, a superior arts community to choreograph the opening and closing ceremonies, and an educated labor force to construct the venues.

GO CHICAGO 2016!

i firmly believe the reason i lost my job as a tenured special education teacher after 17 years is primarily due to the quest for the olympics. i am wondering exactly how many other citizens find themselves in a like predicament? please excuse me if i don't share in the hype & hoopla. if by chance we don't get the games, will i get my job back? don't think so.

No I don't want this. I live in Cook County, Lemont to be exact, and the last thing this county needs is another excuse to squeeze us of more tax revenue. It really is a matter of trust. Do you trust these politicians to allocate the money where it belongs and spend it wisely? Is there going to be a line of connected people with their hands out expecting to get theirs? Who is going to pay for this when they assuredly go over budget? It won't be people who don't pay any taxes now, that's for sure. This is nothing more than Daley's 401K plan, his last chance to ransack the treasury and he wants us to just pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. NO WAY! It will be another case of civic embarrassment by the same corrupt individuals who have been stealing from us for generations.

I assure you that the Mayor is not the least bit interested in providing revenue and jobs within the local economy.
This is monument to himself and he believes that it will cement his legacy.
Some people need to get their head out of the clouds and look at the city's history over the last 100 years.
Hell... just look at the last 5 or 10.

I'm on board, but for strictly selfish reasons.

As a tradesman, I'll be pretty much guaranteed full employment plus tons of overtime beginning next year, and running straight through to August of 2016. New construction will be off the chart.

In fact, the final two years will be absolutely hectic, as each and every hotel room in Downtown Chicago, and other nearby venues will be redecorated.

If it wasn't for the fact that I depend on construction work to make my living, I'd probably be dead set against the cost and inconvenience these games will accrue. But still ... I can't wait until they dig the first hole!

It's just too bad that those holes will be swallowing taxpayers alive, due to the pervasive corruption of our state and local government.

Joanie is sincere. I feel that also. But while folks like you will be enjoying the honey - Daley and his pimps will be counting the money.

Robert and Greylion - point to what the people can expect. Daley and his folks would USE us all to get paid. Ask yourself why does Washington Park need such a huge budget and ALL that infrastructure work in the first place?????? Because it was being neglected for YEARS is your answer. Neglect, neglect, neglect. But there is always money for Daley's projects.

Everyone should pull together and make sure these are a clean, well run profitable games. It might save us a lot of money should we get them.

Bring on the construction!!!!!! Local 17...

Hey Rio sent Pele' so we can forget all about 2016. Honestly, since I don't live in the city or own anything in the city I can care very little. Civic pride is all well and good and the trickle effect will help a lot of people but I see too many reasons for Chicago not to get the Olympics. Sarah Palin lost a lot of votes by having a shabby house while trying to run for part of the White House and Daley is a bigger boob than she is. I don't like a lot of what goes on in that city and I refuse to own anything or pay city taxes so some parts of the city can basically be neglected. Why he has won elections so many times and have been an obvious crook is beyond me. He beautifies what most people see and throw a curtain over what he doesn't want everyone else to see. Crooks will benefit as always. Especially his friends. How can a dullard who speaks as if he is a 9th grade drop out on helium get so far in life? Whatever. Construction workers will benefit but what happens when the work is over? Give us all some long-term solutions and I would be all for it. Put everyone to work without a 2016 expiration date.

The olympics should not come to chicago. The reason is that the only people who are going to benefit are those who went over for there for the sales pitch. The rich, powerful all want the games here. While our kids are dying in the streets like beirut, they are only concern about putting on a facade which will put money in their pockets. Oprah stays downtown, all the big wigs stays in a guarded area and everybody else that are wealthy are detached from the real world. As long as they do not have no contact with the average person, they are fine. Where is all this support for jobs, our schools, or any place in chicago that is south of 35th, west of UIC, the north side. The entire process is a sham. And the band played on while jobs are lost, kids are dying, but as long as it does not effect the palace, the peasants can make it on their own. If Chicago is awarded the games, IT is a statement and it states: WE DONT CARE ABOUT THE AVERAGE PERSON WE GOT WHAT WE WANT, EVERYBODY ELSE MAKE IT THE BEST WAY YOU CAN!

No to the Olynpics!!
Ask yourself this question, If a committee of people were making a decission to award the city of Chicago with a plan that would help to eleminate crime, gangs, drugs, child killings, street mobbings, improve poverty stricken neighborhoods, provide jobs and education for low income neighborhoods, bring in National Guards to provide safety in these high crime areas, if necessary.
Do you think Daley, Michelle, Oprah, and Mr. President would be there bidding and pleading that the award be given to the city of Chicago? I don't think so. I can hear Daley now, "No, this city is safe there are no problems with crime, sure we've had a few killings but if parents would control there kids....." Oprah wouldn't even consider it. I have heard her say often that her show is a platform to bring awareness to people that will inform them and embetter their lives, she lives in the city of Chicago but have you seen ONE show where she is addressing this issue? As for the president and Mrs. of course they would send someone to speak on their behalf. But then, are we stupid enough to believe that Daley would have made these senseless killings a priorty over the reveune that he forsees will come from the Olympics?

The hell with "civic pride". Was anyone consulted about being on the hook for the complete cost overruns? Was anyone asked to vote on the proposal? Hell no. And the hell with this idea.

Think sales tax is high now? Add another 5 cents on the dollar, minimum, within a few years. Think your property taxes are high now? Wait a few years. And for what?

"Of course, if you're an Average Joe, forget about it. And, as a taxpayer, you will be on the hook for any and all cost overruns, as rubber-stamped by the cheerleading City Council."

Gee, I get to pay for something I don't make the money to go see? Get this garbage the hell out of here and head to Rio.

supporting the bid would mean more pay to play,
supporting the bid would mean more DA-LE FAM-FREND CONTRACTS,
SUPPORTING THE BID WOULD MEAN MORE CROOKS CROOKS CRONIES CRONIES,
SUPPORTING THE BID WOULD MEAN MORE DA-LE BUSINESSASUSUAL INONOTHIN,
SUPPORTING THE BID MEANS I'd, feel more of a fool 4 voting 4 OBAMA.

Who's gonna pay for it? YOU and ME. But Boss Daley won't pay a dime; in fact, He and His will GET PAID, big-time! You losers keep voting for this crook!

"Bring on the construction!!!!!! Local 17..."

As if construction on every freeway, tollway and major intersection in and around the city and burbs isn't enough...

Kind of ironic that Obama flies half way around the world to stump for the Olympics but he won't fly 90 minutes to try to help stop the complete social breakdown in his home city...

I feel for people who have mixed emotions as I do. Daley has joined forces with people we like. And this Trojan Horse of his is going actually be good for some - like Villy, who I am rooting for, and the American Olympians. A lot of people we like get rolled up and villianized by Daley's reputation and schemes. He is Captain Ahab chasing Moby Dick for his claim to fame and fortune. I never thought about it, but this bid could secure him until 2016 also. In a sense this is his Mayoral/Presidential election and his chance to cement his legacy. Although William is absolutely correct about him, (inarticulate) you have to give him credit.

Keith..we are in agreement.

Do you know who the biggest cronie is?

Valerie Jarret.

Obama's version of Karl Rove.

Man, thats gotta rock your world a bit. Cause, you would assume when you refer to Dalys cronies, that its a buncha cigar smoking white guy with big guts and 3 piece suits, but in reality its a little pip squeeky african american lady who runs the WhiteHouse like the GodFather ran the mafia.

Dammm..thats just gotta be surreal for you.

DOH !!!!!!!!!!!

Better luck next time - for once the IOC saw right through these crooks...can't wait to hear their explanations...

Culzie - I am sleep on Val, but I will keep my eyes and ears on high alert. I just got the word that Chicago got the boot! Good! Somebody finally told Daley where to go. Now lets see if the cops get their contract, or the southside gets any of this LOVE!!! I will be watching and waiting. I hope Daley goes to JAIL! I hope Obama and the party moves far far away from this guy. It was time for Oprah to lose one also. Will someone finally listen to the Southsiders???

I can see Rio getting the bid, but Madrid beating out Chicago AND Tokyo!? The committee is smoking crack.

Now lets see if the Mayor puts the same kind of focus and determination on the city's real problems.
Lets see Oprah's big fat rear end over on the South side trying to make things better there.
Or the West side while you are at it.

You want to make the city look good in the eyes of the world?
Well here is your chance.
Make a real change and not some Hollywood back drop for two weeks scheduled 7 years from now.

RPK: Spain is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. You should go there before knocking Madrid.

Madrid was probably the best of the bunch, but not even Juan Antonio Samarinch could muster up enough sentiment to sway the committee from Rio. I thought for sure it would be Madrid; too many positives and the negatives were soft.

Tokyo should have been first off; no civic backing and NO ROOM! Chicago and Rio should have been next, together. There is no room for such violence or corruption in the Olympic Rings. It's amazing in today's world and economy that the OC would just ignore the money market. Kudos to them, but Madrid lost out to the 'other' sentimental favorite.

South America!

I'm distraught.

Doing just a rough estimate, I'm guessing that over the course of the next six or seven years this failed bid will have cost me over $75,000 in overtime pay alone.

I hope Rio is hit by a tsunami, and that all of the plastic surgeons who perform the breast enhancement operations on their women perish in the first wave.

Woe is me.

I have a feeling that this will turn out for the best.

So many buildings and facilities erected for the Olympics in Beijing, Athens, Atlanta, etc. have become "white elephants" or basically good for nothing when one considers the maintenance, utility and security costs. So much of it eventually gets torn down or certainly should be. Think also of the incredible traffic struggles and eyesores during the lengthy construction period. Yes, there would be some good benefits, but most of those would be for those who can afford such facilities that do remain or the people in place to profit from them. As Keith mentioned, a lot of the impoverished would likely see little, if any benefit whatsoever. Probably, they would experience a greater setback.

South America is the only continent (apart from Antarctica) not to have an Olympics. The US hosted Olympics as recently as 2002 (Salt Lake Winter Games), '96 (Atlanta) and '84 (LA). The rest of North America has also added Vancouver (2010 Winter), Calgary ('88 Winter), Montreal ('76 Summer) and Mexico City ('68 Summer). If we think in the worldly sense, I think South America was due, especially when one considers that the five rings themselves represent the five civilized continents. Even Australia, often argued against as a continent due to its smaller size, has had two (Sydney and Melbourne's Summer Games 1952)!

I would take this as a blessing in disguise for Chicago's citizens and fans as well as those of us who understand the Olympic spirit of appealing to this planet as a whole.

Let Rio and South America have the games...We'll be just fine without them.

but..Tokyo is so beautiful...and electronically hip. I really am obsessed with their culture...living in small places...the micro-architecture is astonishing. Madrid? I think that is spanish for Barcelona-where the games already were. Rio? I thought the prostitution in Chicago was gonna be out of hand....this will not be a 'family' Olympics-leave the kids at home.
Now my extra condo in Chicago, will never be rented........lest I become 'unstuck'.

Keith..i love that you are so open to hearing the truth.

Let me shed some more light on some stuff for you...

because you cant hate Daleys cronies and love the WhiteHouse...they are one in the same bro!

http://nochicagogames.wordpress.com/the-chicago-white-house-connection/

First Lady Michelle was previously an assistant to Mayor Daley, and an assistant Planning and Development Commissioner.
The Chicago Whitehouse

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel was formerly a senior political advisor to Daley and chief Daley fund raiser. According to federal court testimony, Mayor Daley’s illegal patronage workers helped elect Emanuel to the U.S. Congress.
See Documents, Tomczak’s Federal Court Testimony, p. 2444

Senior White House Advisor Valerie Jarrett was once Mayor Daley’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Planning and Development Commissioner.

Senior White House Advisor David Axelrod was a long-time advisor to Mayor Daley.

Arne Duncan was previously CEO of the scandal-plagued Chicago Public Schools before he became the United States Secretary of Education.

I had a chance to look at the news last night and this entire fiasco was embarrassing for the United States of America. I am on record as opposed to the Olympics for Chicago, but there is a way to say no without hurt or harm. I think the United States needs to deal with the IOC. I am not talking about Oprah or Mayor Daley - but the President and his wife. We did more than lost a simple bid yesterday. I think they made it personal. And I think they conspired to do it. I aint mad at them, but they should have tipped off the white house. The moment they knew the fix was in, they should have found a way to tell Barack and the first lady that it would be in their best interest to not come. It was more than a denial, but a diss and a kiss. Was a time when other countries wouldn't dare treat us that way, and a time when we as Americans would know the difference and circle the wagons and stand tall. We need to send them a message.

With many apologies to my African-American friends (and Kenyan adopted child via the Christian Children's Fund), after Rio, someplace on the continent of Africa should be awaiting 2020.

By your estimation everyone who ever worked for Daley is a crook by association. That's not true. There are a lot of crooks and there are some people who got into politics to hlep others. Not one of those people you mentioned Culzie laid at the feet of their daddy and learned how to do the things that Daley does without it coming back to bite them. Like someone mentioned, their own father voted for Daley senior and they were deceased at the time. Culzie I don't care how many times you try and say otherwise you are a Republican. A true and true Republican and it's amazing why you try and deny it. Keith and I have had converstaions about you and he actually thinks good thoughts about you. He was swayed me on several occasions that you are well meaning and bringing up Valerie Jarrett as a way to hurt him shows me that you aren't. The IOC's perception of Chicago and this country has nothing to do with what is going on but what has gone on too long in this country. Telander wrote a nice article about it but is still getting slammed about it. A lof of countries just don't like us. When I was in Germany in 83-85 most people thought we were a country full of Capones. The negatives you think about other countries are not how they see themselves.

WRD:

As you correctly pointed out, we lost for a myriad of reasons totally unrelated to the ethnicity of our President, or any of his associates.

But I'll have to disagree with you about Telander. I've never been a fan of his holier than thou, melodramatic, hand wringing style of journalism. He makes me wanna puke.

And I never thought anyone could make me miss Mariotti.

Now, Mark, mind you I didn't agree with everything Telander wrote but the perceptions that he recreated were with merit. I'm sorry a lot of people who would've benefitted didn't but truth be told it's not a good thing that we're allowed to be duped into paying higher taxes when Daley knew that they would be higher. He said that we would reap 22 Billion and reality it would've been 4 billion. He needs to get his house in order before he open the doors to the rest of the world. Chicagoans are suckers for their politicians. Rod the Blag is a cracked cranium but he pretended to be normal. No one wondered why you can't vote for a guy whose own father-in-law can't even fake a united front even before the first election. He had ads on the urban radio stations poking fun of his hard to pronounce name and conned a lot of people into thinking that he was carrying a full deck and was just one of the guys. He turned out to be as big a crook as any Republican not named George Ryan. I may be a Democrat but I'm not above denouncing party lines. Let's see a closet Republican do that.

I can't stand Telander either Villano.
Preachy and negative and always acting like he knows what is best for us all.

WRD, Mariotti was in Copenhagen. Perhaps he is the one who lost it
for Chicago. I blame him.
Seriously, as I kick of my boots and look at this in a
laid back country drawl sort of way. I think y'all readin' too much
into this here frim fram. The fine folks at the IOC, simply wanted
to give another region a chance for fan fare. Those feller's from
Brazil got what they was yearning for after several failed attempts.
This here City with them slickers and all, well you might just
have to give it a go a couple of times. I'll be a darn toot'n
buck shaw if youre thinkin' we won't wait a hunert years or so,
we are used to it. That there is what they call po-etic justice.
Them buckeroos from Denver might just make the playoffs, and we might not win 'nuff draws. That will put a mighty fine ending to this year in Chicago. I Put my boots back on and now I am off my rocker...
gone fishin'

"I may be a Democrat but I'm not above denouncing party lines. Let's see a closet Republican do that."

William: Remember ... you're talking to a guy who voted for Nixon.

"Mariotti was in Copenhagen. Perhaps he is the one who lost it
for Chicago. I blame him."

I blame Milton Bradley, and Rex Grossman.

Yo Phil!

The only cause Telander champions that I'm even half in agreement with is the issue of compensation for collegiate athletes.

Sure, many of these so called amateurs receive benefits in the form of scholarships, but this compensation pales in comparison to the millions of dollars they generate for their respective institutions.

I understand that for a few of them, the payoff is shortly down the road in the form of a pro football career, but the vast majority of these players never even get to sniff an NFL contract.

What makes the idea unworkable is that the NCAA would have to come up with a system that divvies up the pie equally, via a form of revenue sharing. This would have players like Florida's Tim Tebow getting paid as much as a fifth string towel holder on Marshal's Thundering Herd. And it doesn't even begin to address the disparity between the economic impact these top tier players have on their division I schools, and the relatively small change that's generated by division III teams.

Ultimately, there's no workable solution, and in the end schools like Notre Dame, Michigan, and USC will continue to grow fat off the fruit of their labor.

Still ... I can't help but feel for the collegiate stars who might not have the size and skills that transfer over into the pros, but nevertheless play well enough within their team's system to get them into the BCS, where the really big money rolls through the turnstiles, and into their coffers.

Why is me pointing out that the entire whitehouse has worked for Daley...make me a bad person?

thats weird...

"Keith and I have had converstaions about you and he actually thinks good thoughts about you."

culzie - you should be real creeped out about that statement...

Oh..and William..just because you have a seething hatred for them, doesnt make Republican a bad word!

Ironically, my voter ID card came the other day, and it has me registerd as a Dem...LOL.

http://www.newser.com/story/70897/republicans-can-retake-house-in-a-2010-landslide.html

Oh Anonymous I should've worded it: One conversation and two topics about Culzie. Now should he should be creeped out? Outside the blog there are plenty of people who talk about what others blog about. I care very little for someone's opinion when he doesn't use his name. Culzie I took exception to you bringing Jarrett's race into the equation. Go back and see who brought race into this topic. I'm feed up with bloggers saying that a topic became racial and someone is playing the race card when others bring it up as a passing joke. Who cares if there is a typo on your voter registration card. You are a REPUBLICAN. Even Mark acknowledges his party but doesn't sit back and call Democrats dirty names like you do. And I'm sorry but you really seem to have it out for people in politics along Jarrett's complexion. You denounce Obama every chance you get and really seem to side with Mccain on all his topics during the election. The conversation I had with Keith was whether or not you were a racial person and he didn't see that at all. He only saw you as obtuse( long answer short). No one else's name came up about whether they were racial. No one else ever has. I was mildly disturbed at your reply about a subject and we talked about it. 45 seconds of my time that I can't get back. Keith and I talk Bears, religion and life. He's an optimist for a lot of things and I don't give a lot of things a second thought.

Your absurd Will. I have more black friends than you do probably.

Ask anyone of them I am racial, and they would laugh in your face. Im just doing what Holder the attorney General said we needed to do, and not be a coward to talk about it.

I only bust Keith's chops about the race card, because his comments occassionally reek of anti-whiteness. but, I dont even think its because he is racist, i just think he is a homer.

Anyways...my point was that those cigar smoking cronies that Keith imagines sit in Daley's back rooms, are really those who are now in the White House.

Period.

You cant excoriate Daley...and Chicago croniism, and excuse the WH, it just isnt logical.

Also, you have no clue what i think about 90% of my politics.

I just didnt vote for Obama because I hated that the media just decided he should be president. It was a protest vote. I actually like him as a guy. Which i have said a million times.

Im actually glad Mccain isnt president. if you want to know the truth.

I often disagree with you on issues...but i never call you out as being a hater or make it personal...you should respect that.

You're absurd. You have called me out my name plenty of times. I've had you call me racist because I said that Olsen was a weak TE. You even said I hated Urlacher because he was white. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. You constantly throw color into the topic. You called Matt Jones a racial name and then in the next paragraph ask people not to see it as racial. And anyone who says that they have more black friends than someone else is the same person who would say that some of their best friends are black and then go on and mention guys who work for them or are their coworkers. How many brothers have been in your house? Forget that. That shouldn't even be a barometer. Everyone else mentioned that we have several sides of town that need attention and none of them mentioned race. Everyone tip-toed and deftly avoided the landmines and then lo and behold the 3 piece suit/mafia caricature rears it's ugly head. Ridiculous. If you want to get a rise out of Keith about race call him on the phone. Talk to him. Don't bring that silly crap here and act like it should be accepted as a joke. The spector of race always come into a topic on this board. And this is the reason why. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, funny about mentioning race for shock value. And it's says a lot about a person who cast votes as a protest. You like him as guy? Wow. Yeah, sounds obtuse to me.

I am pretty sure Chicago's "LOSS" of the Olympics had less to do with Chicago, and more to do with the long-standing conflicts between the IOC and the USOC. I think this is the way the IOC will go until they get what they want from the USOC, the networks that pay for television coverage, etc. New York's bid failed, CHicago's bid failed, and I'll predict that most future American bids will fail until the US and international olympic committees have some sort of resolution of their issues.

Fox News, which purports to be "FAIR and BALANCED", had an interesting online headline just minutes after CHicago was eliminated in the first round: "OBAMAS FAIL TO BRING OLYMPICS TO CHICAGO."

Say what you want about Obama - this really had nothing to do with him either. Those headlines confirm for me again that the people who run Fox are just retarded.

All of our problems are still here - - crime, failing schools, corrupt political systems, an unfair tax system, etc. Maybe now we can get to the business of resolving them.

WRD...i think you are confusing me with other bloggers. your gonna need to go back and find proof of all these acusations. Your routine is getting old and tired. I never said anything about Olsen or Matt jones other than he was a coke head.

You just make stuff up...but thats your style. Lie and deny!

Get a life old man. Stop talking about me or to me or to Keith about me..it just gives me power over you.

Also, Keith is a big boy, he doesnt need you fighting his fights.

I made a point about the irony of his dislike for Daley juxtapost with the reality of the Obama Whitehouse and you accuse me of being a racists?

GET A F*%&$ING LIFE!!

Not to mention the fact that you cant deny that I am wrong about it, so you just decide to distract and attack. Typical Liberal Loser...when backed into a corner...just attack the person..not the argument.

My best friend growing up in JR HI was a brother..I spent so much time in his house or he at mine, his mom called me their white son. I played college basketball for NEIU and was 1 of 3 white guys on the whole team. I still facebook with almost all of my old teamates.

I had a pointgaurd from Oakton who my family basically adopted because when I played there, because he lived in Cabrini and was dealing crack and getting shot at when I met him and after a year with me, he was working for charities and taking care of his soon to be wife and baby...and gave up the "thug life" which he had tattooed on his chest.

You dont know me, and you never will WILL R DON. So do us all a favor and SHUT THE F*&K up about stuff you have no clue about. The world will be much better off if you just shut your mouth.

First of all - Bubba's Mom - Good stuff! I agree 100%! If his friends don't reach out and touch him (Freddo Corleone style), I hope someone puts the pressure on him to do right. Now is the time that we need our leaders. I would vote for almost anyone but him!!

Culzie - that 9:36am post was over the line. William please do not respond to it, we all know you can. I got no beef with Culzie. He is very complex and sometimes crosses lines, but I have found him to usually have a very interesting reason he feels the way he does. I am more interested in hearing that and learning more about him. He has an Obama-like perspective that I appreciate. The things he talks about could not have been made up. I am a hoops-head to my soul and we bare that commonality. I have been extremely busy lately and didnt have time to respond. I wanted to look into that link and get back to Culzie. I wish I had gotten to it. Culzie knows exactly where I stand and still choose to engage and challenge me. I find that possitive. When people are racist, they talk at you, not to you. And most of what they have to say comes from ignorance and emotions and not their mind and hearts.

William I appreciate you greatly brother. I will give you a ring! Rise above it. We should all be smiling after the Bears tore the Lions a new one, AND we get to see one of our rivals lose tonight! This game is going to be so telling.

Keith, I'm not even going over to that dark side believe me. I don't do copy and paste but when I get 4 hours to kill I will go back into the archives to prove my point. He doths protest too much. This idiot throws so much junk out there that he doesn't even remember 85 percent of it. That's a sign that someone is medicated. It's 2:30. Take your medicine Brian. The little bells you hear are the doctor's reminder that the little blue and orange pill awaits you. See you in another hour to get the pink and red ones. Oh, and don't forget your Buzz Lighyear bib to catch that drool when you visit Oompa Lompa land.

How convenient that someone from your "past" would have THUG LIFE on their chest? Was his name also Pac for short? Did you and him hang out with his girlfriend named Justice when he worked at the post office? How Poetic? Did they call him Bishop another time and he ran around shooting people cause he got "strapped" and had the Juice. Was he a cop once and tried to frame a guy for shooting an ATF agent? I know exactly who your friend is. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you friend met his demise back in 1996. Didn't you see his last movie Resurrection? As long as you don't get your movies mixed up I will forgive you if you tell me you hung out with your friend Smokey one friday before you beat Debo up. Your friend wasn't doing charity 'after' he met you, you were the charity. Nothing wrong with special needs people. That's why they use the word 'special' instead of the R word. Is the world a better place yet, Brian after the little red pill?

Can't we all just get along?

It's not over till the race card is played...

You guys are gonna pull your rulers out right about now. I'm done.

It was actually a grim reaper and it said Thug for Life under it. But i was typing so fast I was pissed. Keith, if you think my post was over the line, then you have to agree that Willys was too.

Anyways..i shouldnt have sworn, I felt bad for that. and I almost felt bad for calling you an old man,...but..i think you wear it as more of a badge of honor.

Ill take my red pill..now!

Oh..and Bubbas mom...i guess SNL is now a right winger too...cause it looks like their latest skit calls him out alot more than FOX NEWS ever has.

Check it out...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEZFBozWg8E&feature=player_embedded

Last response and it's of the G rated variety: how is 45 old and I wear it as a badge of honor? There are guys here who have 20 years or more on me who also don't mind their age. At least not when they're bodies are feeling the effects of their age. Plain and simple Brian you shouldn't have brought Valerie Jarrett's race into the equation. What sense did it make? But in the obtuse manner in which you have invaded this blog for 3 years you don't see it. Why can't a person who is "color-blind" not see that. You've had entries calling women derogatory names as well but you obviously don't know what is insulting. You act like this is your personal forum and don't realise that others just read it and go about their business. Look at all the women who post and tell me calling another woman names (like for example names you called the women from Charm School on VH1) doesn't bother them. Before you post you should wonder who you are going to offend. You really don't get it. Just like swearing because you are mad. Dude, I swear a blue streak but why waste it on bleeps. That's what substituting a letter is. Bleeping. Now for my last comment I want you to sit up on the edge of your chair for this....I.. can... care... less...what your opinion of me is. For 3 years you have skimmed entries and jumped on a perceived comment. Then you've frat-boy entries trying to sound hip. I've tolerated and also responded in kind. But you are like the Eveready battery bunny... You keep going and going. At least parent hood got you a little grounded and off the blog more. And I'm sure others have appreciated that. But just like anything. You can spray CRAP with cologne but it still smells like crap. Blue pill time.

William sez: "You can spray CRAP with cologne but it still smells like crap."

And I thought Old Spice solved that problem for me.

Bummer

I feel like telling you to shut the Bleep up all over again.

Your posts reek of biter jealous resentment.

Also, I bet if you ask any Female who posts in here, they would agree with me that the gals on Rock of Love are HO"S. Thats not degrading, thats reality TV. They are almost all Strippers and Pornstars. Also, we have a rule in our house, if you go on TV, you open yourself up to criticism. So you will never find me being rude or degrading to anyone who doesnt put it out there for judgement. What should we call them? Classy Ladies? Dont act so freaking hi and mighty..cause you aint.

Also, you make more assumptions than anyone I have ever engaged in conversation with. I have never been in a frat, other than the brotherhood of a basketball team. and I actually never even attended a college that had greek life at all.

But again, i guess its ok for you to make derogatory assumptions, but no one else can.

Give it a rest dude. Your the most obnoxious dude in here. I tried to apologize and you cant even let it go.

Go play with yourself...and save us the lectures. This is a sportsblog not a white paper. Ooops...did i say white?

Keith and I have an understanding...I have never once been offended by anything he has said, and according to his recent post, he gets me too.

Your the one who is trying to twist this and bear false witness.

Dont burn your shorties on your way down kid.

and...you can spray crap with cologne....but there is one thing i know for sure...and thats you cant shine a turd!

"and thats you cant shine a turd!"

there u go again getting racial...lol

See...now that wasnt funny. Anonymous, and that was really disrespectful. In all seriousness. Not funny and ricky you should probably take that obnoxious and cowardly comment down.

I will say this one last time for the record, and thats

I have never once acted in a racist or bigoted way in my entire life, I have actually fought against racial injustice my whole life.

I do not have 1 racial or misogynistic bone in my whole body.

Just bringing up the topic does not make you a racist. I hope william you are smart enough to know the difference.

BUT I DO HAVE A BIAS AGAINST IGNORANCE AND IDIACY...BOTH OF WHICH YOU REEEK OF MY FRIEND.

Good luck to you in the rest of your miserable and biter existence, cause if you treat other people in your life the way you treat me, you will end up sad and alone and for that i pity you.

Mark, that was funny. All that other stuff after that I skimmed. That's what happens when you have the POWER. If Ricky didn't set up the posts until after 11:00 how did anyone know that there was a post from anonymous at 9:19. Elementary, my dear, Watson. The 10:05 guy posted them both to try and look innocent. Case closed. Everyone go to bed and break out the straight jacket for our little friend. We're gonna need a bigger box of pink pills. There is no A in idiocy. And two Ts in bitter. Reek stops with just 2 Es. Why are you still bringing Keith's name into this, Brian? I can care less that you apologized for bleeping me. Better yet I will type slower: I can care less Brian. It's you're the most obnoxious guy. Because YOU ARE. YOU'RE. College graduate and still bleeping up english....

Ready to give up , Brian or are we going to get us 100 entries over here? Now that last part of the great mispelled blog of October 6th really struck a nerve with me. I haven't read words like that since I broke up with a GIRL back in 92. Or was it 93, in my old age I can't seem to remember...I guess tonight I'm going to be visited by the ghosts of bloggers past. Guess tomorrow morning I'm going to wake up and be a changed and happier man... Bah Humbug!!

My first car was a 1972 Cadillac Fleetwood while my current one is a Hyundai XG350.
I find Halle Berry hot but not Beyonce.
I like Jimi Hendrix but not Prince.
Richard Pryor cracks me up but I find Chris Rock boring.
I voted for Obama but I think that Jesse Jackson is an idiot.
I love fried chicken but I hate watermelon.
What does it all mean?

Oh my God!
Who am I?

Do I need to do some "soul" searching?

Ok Phil:

My first car was a 1969 Mercedes Benz, white, 4dr, leather in mint condition. I was 20 and you couldnt tell me NOTHING!!! Until I tried to get it fixed when the timing chain went out. OOOOOOOH!!!!

Beyonce definitely (Halo video was like crack I could not stop playing it on youtube - and I don't like music), not Halle good actress though.

Prince over Hendrix easy. Prince is a genious.

Pryor, Eddie, Rock, (I love to laugh) but Martin Lawrence fight with Tommie Hearns almost hospitalized me.

Obama and Jackson - there is a need for the Jacksons of the world. Similar to the King Malcom X thing.

Hate fried Chicken - love Watermelon. 1st grade teacher ruined it for me by showing me what chickens eat.

But I love PHIL! Jackson and Collins and especially the one who blogs on FCP!! Love reading your posts! And nobody can touch you on the Sox! Noles is tight also, but in a battle for braggin rights, you are undisputed!!!

Beyonce is going to be a big big woman as she gets older. Every woman I know tells me that. Catty but I think it's true. Chris Rock is funny to me because he makes me go, Hhhmmm. Richard is in my blood. As a kid I knew all his routines. I like Prince and never got into Hendrix. Jesse is a bitter man who could've been a great man. Money is his motivation now. He'd rather paint someone in a corner than make real change. He lost me 20 years ago but his "down with dope and up with hope" mantra gave him a lot of leeway for a while. Watermelon? All that chewing when you really should be drinking it. Everybody has soul. Don Cornelius didn't corner the market on that.

Culzie I just finished checking out that link which lead to another link. Here is the link with the smoking gun you are referring to. http://nochicagogames.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/tomczk-testimony.doc

This is political "patronage" and that means jobs for helping with campaigning. Both sides do this. Now you ought to know that if it was that easy to tie them all in with "alleged election corruption", that the very desperate Republican Party would have been all over that like hot tar on a roof. Dr. Jay Stone posted that allegation and is a Hypnotherapist from Chicago! I HOPE THIS IS NOT THE GUY YOU ARE LISTENING TO??? Almost spit out my coffee.

I don't like Politics of any kind. It brings out the worst in people. I want DALEY gone for the stuff he pulled with those traffic lights. That's evil. $100 fines for turning right without coming to a full stop!!! Noone was happier when we didn't get the Olympics than me!!!! Now all we have to do is get someone who can memorize and verbalize a complete sentence without sweating and stuttering and down goes Fraiser!!

First car: 1963 Pontiac Catalina. Was going to buy a triple black 1960 Caddy Fleetwood but my dad nixed the deal. I never forgave him.

Halle Berry gives me the creeps. (as does any woman who ever slept with Mark Grace)

Beyonce is hot. (but there's a really big girl in there just dying to get out)

Prince is like Halle Berry; gives me the creeps.

Loved Hendrix.

Pryor was funny before he burned himself up.

Big fan of fried chicken AND watermelon.

Keith...I can handle almost anything you say....but to not recognize Hendrix as a genius is damn near sacrilege in my house.

I bet if you asked Prince, he would take Hendrix over himself.

Jimmy was a left handed played guitar upside down with his thumb, instead of normal chords.

Little known fact...

when he was stationed over in Germany, he had his dad send him his guitar, and he would immitate the bomber planes when they would do their bomber runs...and one night a little later in his life, when he was playing in a small club in London, a record label guy was there from the states...and found his sound so amazing, he phoned back to the US to his producers and said...we need to sign this guy immediately....and the producer said...well..what does he sound like...

and the guy said...well..

He sounds like "Heavy Metal" falling from the sky.

Thus..the term was born!

My first car was a 75 Monte Carlo with swivel captain seats. I used to get out and the seat would be sideways. I loved that car. That was before I knew that you had to change the oil more than twice a year. Last time I drove it it was shooting fire.

I almost feel like this is the end of "mean girls" where everyone got things off their chest...here goes...

First car: 1983 cutlas supreme
Halle Berry defintely - do we have confirmation grace tapped that? I know he did pretty much everyone else on Rush. Just like Cyndi Sandberg...
Prince can't hold Jimi's jock
Pryor was great - Chris Rock is ok
Like fried chicken - watermelon is ok

I'll add one...definitely Mary Ann over Ginger...

Since there seems to be a run on "first cars," mine was a '70 Buick Skylark Grand Sport. Unfortunately, it wasn't the famous 455, but it was in the mid-to-high three hundreds and could hold it's own with most even then not that I was racing it like my father.

My dad has told me of the days when he often took his '57 Studebaker Hawk to 95th and Kean Avenue where they'd race and play "chicken" and all that. My dad was like some kind of "Fonsy." Mercy! Glad that turned out o.k. Then, he waxes nostalgic about good ole' Route 66 where it was typical for guys, including himself, to floor it for most of the way to L.A. doing top end speeds of 120 and up. I can't imagine that.

Since I live in Seattle and have been to the Experience Music Project (by the Space Needle) that was built in honor of Hendrix, I'd have to agree that Jimi Hendrix was a genius, but Jimi himself told Terry Kath of Chicago that Kath was better than him even at what Hendrix did. You could hear the Hendrix-like licks on CTA and the very early Chicago recordings.

Love fried chicken, especially the spicy kind from places like Popeyes, but I know it ain't good for me at all so I only eat it on occasion. Watermelon is king, but out-of-season it's gross.

Tough call between Beyonce and Halle, but Halle is more my style. Then again, I picked Mary Ann over Ginger!

Culzie - you are absolutely correct about Hendrix as a guitar player. My reference to Prince is as a writer. Prince has written some songs for others that you wouldn't even believe. He has a vault full of songs written already. I learned all of this from my high school buddy who used to love Prince. He educated me.

Mary Ann's a lush. And the little slut was sleeping with the Professor, Mr. Howell, and Mark Grace.

Also: She was a Packer fan. Walked around the island wearing nothing but Bart Starr panties.

Things were getting a little testy in here and I just wanted to lighten it up by showing that we all have pretty much the same things in common.
It does not matter if you are from the North side or the South side. If you are black, white, Hispanic.

I have nothing personal against Prince. He is just not for me.
Check out Jimi’s version of “Voodoo Chile Blues” form the “Blues” album.
There is a part where he really gets in to it and he is not playing chords or scales…. just something totally different.
It sounds like boiling liquid or lava flowing.
That goes beyond skill or talent.
I have never heard Prince or anyone else for that matter reach inside and pull out something like that.

Don't pay any attention to that floozie ... she's just jealous because I got all the attention. The only one who even gave her a second glance was the Skipper, and he only did that when Gilligan wasn't available.

Those threesomes with the Professor and Mr. Howell were wonderful.

Mark Grace? He just liked to watch. Typical Cub; unable to perform in the clutch. That's why Halle dumped him.

And I looked pretty damn hot in those panties!

Hey, Phil, believe me I appreciated the diversion. I can argue but I don't like to argue. I like getting along but putting things into perspective happens sometimes. Moving right along.

I remember when heavyweight championship bouts like this used to go 15 rounds, or 100 posts; whichever came first?

Keith...here is some continuing Ed for you brotha!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kze4jqFgW2s

This song is a mind blower!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-LoRtUB510

Chicago - Uptown!

Culzie thanks for the links - Jimmy was a beast with that axe, I take nothing from him! I see you have a greater appreciation for the guitar than I do. You cannot appreciate my comment until you fully know about Prince Nelson. Wikipedia does not do him justice, but they know some of the bidness. Prince can play 26 instruments and has never been formally trained. I know Purple Rain was just a movie, but there was one scene where he listened to the music of his rogue band members for about 5 minutes and composed the song Purple Rain from it. THATS genious. And I am certain Jimmy was the truth also, but Prince was a complete performer. Composer, Musician, Singer and Choreographer. And he can hoop!

Only three more to go.

Don't make me post them all myself.

Anybody want to talk about whether or not Cedric Benson will rush for 1200 yards? Has anyone noticed that whenever they show a highlight for a Cincy pass play he isn't in the backfield? Who among former Bears players would you like to see make a comeback to our team? Who would help us? I'm sure we can get this puppy over 100 if we really, really tried.

WRD - yeah Benson is another back thats surpising me that played behind our line. Its sad that we had to lose him because I believe our line sucks. Its too much evidence to conclude otherwise. And we better shore it up quickly before somebody hurts Cutler! Maybe Forte is not a bust either. But I think he has gotten himself hurt playing behind our line. And folks were high on Wolfe, I know he was tearing it up in college and Lovie like him. I just wrote him off has being too small, but he might be the next guy to leave town only to end up on the highlight reel every night.

I'd like to see Rex Grossman return.

I'm really beginning to see that the line coach is doing great because he has some serious stiffs to work with. Isn't Jared Allen the DE for Minny? I'm sure he would love to get a slow footed QB to pad his sack total.

Mission accomplished. I knew you we could do it!

My work is done here.

I am not one to post a ton of political articles on a sports blog, but since this thread has political overtones to it, I wanted some of you to read this article. written by a gay activist, liberal democrat who voted and contributed to Obamas presidency. * and no, just mentioning she is a gay activist, does not make me a hater. I actually voted in favor of Gay Marriage here in AZ.

http://www.salon.com/opinion/paglia/2009/10/14/teaparty/index.html

From the article (this portion, really speaks to what I was saying about Obama's cronies in the first place).

"Obama is approaching a turning point which will define his political future, if he has one. He is surrounded by some mighty small potatoes who need shoveling into the dumpster. The petty provincials need to go, and far more sophisticated and world-savvy analysts must urgently be brought on board.

Opponents of Obama are perplexed by the disconnect in polling between Americans' rejection of Obama's policies and his personal popularity. Count me among those who are very critical of many of Obama's actions or evasions but who continue to like him and to believe in his potential as a world leader

Culzie, Obama has transcended the regular tread of the everyday politician and become a living walking breathing idea. He is the embodiment of the word HOPE. Now folks can hate him all they want, but that won't stop him. He is an idea, and you can't kill an idea. All you can do is think about it. And for most of us its a lovely thought. I had a long dinner with several of my conservative and liberal friends, and we all talked about the unlikelihood of what just happened before our own eyes. Its surreal to a lot of us. All I could say was "not in a million years" with tears in my eyes. His candidacy was the perfect storm. Do you know how many variables had to be in place for that to happen? It seems divine. Like he was born and raised for this moment in time. And its creepy that during his most embarrasing moment (that Olympics fiasco), that something like the Nobel Peace Prize would come and wash away that stain. If he never does another thing right ever, he has lifted the hopes of millions and all the hatoraide in the world can't drown that out.

Your girl is a staunch conservative, just like my homies. They are simply money hungry jokers. They don't understand that money should never come before people.

I don't think the olmypics were an embarrassment at all for obama...game theory says his only option was to go since 3 of the 4 possible outcomes were negative to begin with - only positive outcome for him was him going there and chicago getting the games. The olympics were doomed the minute Daley headed it up and put ryan in charge...Daley's stammering and the oprah stuff was the only embarrassment.

The nobel thing was comical and he should have politely turned it down. Getting nominated a few weeks into the presidency..?? Of course this stuff is sealed for 50 years I believe so we'll never know who nominated him.

Full disclosure...I voted for him.

Damn, right Keith.

Not the whole post Keith, even though it is your usual heartfelt prose, just the very last part is what illicited by earlier response.

I believe that the only reason Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize was because the NBA wanted a black president who likes basketball to succeed.

It's a conspiracy I tell ya!

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! This here blog's got legs!!!

I see 1,000 posts in it's future. (think big)

Let's expand this to include other diverse topics such as Early American literature, Pre-Columbian art, bio-nuclear para-psycology, quantum physics, and an in depth discussion about which way the toilet paper roll should be placed on the spindle.

With enough imagination and input, this thread could live on in perpituity, like the eternal flame in the Daley Plaza.

Or at least until we run out of gas.

I have to go now. I'm boning up for my 5,000 word discertation on fruit flies. They only live 24 hours, so they have to learn how to make discisions quickly. But from what I understand ... their sex lives are really great!

Obama has been in the White House for 9 whole months now.
That should be more than enough time to have cleaned up the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, the auto industry collapse, the stock market collapse, the economy, the unemployment rate, Iran, North Korea and health care reform by now right?

I am sure that John McCain and Sara Palin would have continued Dubya and Cheney’s good work and everything would be fine now.

William/Phil - cracking up!

Rush - I know "you wish the PRESIDENT would fail".

Tommie - Obama's detractors saw the Olympics as their private victory.

The Nobel was good for America to see. Most Americans are oblivious to how much hope Obama actually stimulated. The world thinks differently. He is not in the box that folks have put him in. To almost everyone Obama means something different! There are a great deal of people that thinks nothing at ALL of OBAMA. They are like the Grinch and can't understand - why all the fuss? For the International Community he is a beacon of light and the Nobel Committee is a cultivator of that spirit. The world is looking for CHANGE. He shook up the world. We are in a historic moment in time. I often wondered what it felt like during the life of Dr. King. To see him and hear him. To most I bet it felt like it does for us now. We simply cannot grasp the enormity of the moment. I believe he is that important and will be a historic figure for the ages.

Keith, im not arguing anything you said, but I have a question..

Dont you think your kind of religious reverance for Obama, and the kind of adoration that is out there, will put a huge burden on the next minority president?

you act like he was a gift from the heavens...

dude..he is a hack chicago politician...who got lucky and was in the right place at the right time.

Culzie...

When you say that Obama "got lucky and was in the right place at the right time" do you mean that because Bush, Cheney and the Republicans screwed things up so badly that it was almost imposable for them to get another 4 years or because they offered us a 77 year old guy with health problem who has a 1960s view of the world and a ditzy flight attendant as his running mate?

If Obama turns out to be a loser it was still worth the vote just to keep Sara Palin from being a heartbeat away from the big chair.
There are actually millions of people who wanted this and that is a scary thought.
I would not trust her running the local Wal-Mart let alone the country.
"Time to let the missiles fly so we can all meet our maker by golly!"

Culzie - you are absolutely correct. Who has stepped in Dr. King's shoes??? That mold is broken. Such light shines rarely. Its here and then gone before we even know what we had.

I don't think Obama is anything more than a flawed human being. Just like Dr. King and President Kennedy were, and many other historical figures. But to ignore his rise from obscurity is blindness. See that is just it Culzie, From a Hack to the TOP is a compelling story don't you think. You are really not thinking. This dude is named BARACK OBAMA - and he is President of the United States while we are fighting the war that was started because of 911. This hack ran and WON with that name and that skin. And I aint even warmed up!! Thats more than luck brother.

I am not taking away from his meteoric rise to fame, im just talking about the short sightedness in not evaluating him on his own actions, but instead, projecting some sort of hallowed light of perfection unto him of, instead of realizing that at best he has 8 years to get some stuff done, and then we will need to elect someone else. We cant make him King..or president of the world..although some have already called for that.

You guys better get all this out your system because you know the next Blog is going to put this thing into the Archives. I would love to debate politics when it comes to Obama but it would likely put this over 200. And it would be the usual suspects going back and forth. I just don't think you dog the guy who had 10 months to straighten out what has gone on for 8 years. They took polls in the past few months in several countries on whether or not they thought highly of Bush doing the right thing and Obama doing the right thing towards their country and Bush's approval was in the teens and Obama's was totally opposite. High 80 percents through several countries thought our president could do favorable things for their country and the world. People talk about his foreign policies or lack of them but what do you want? A guy talking tough because he has young soldiers at his beck and call to back him up? Or would you want the spector of peace to always be in a person's mindset? If you were in the military you'd want the peace. When I was in the Army I REALIZED that I had no say in which battles I fought. Nor could I oppose who our government hated. A lot of people aren't in the Army because they like fighting. It's a world within itself. You can be a doctor, lawyer, policeman, nurse, aviation specialist or corrections officer or whatever without having to accrue debt to a university and you can retire earlier in life. People can retire at 42 with full benefits. They can watch someone, the same age, go about their business for another 23 years working and they can both die at the same age and one of them would have never had time off to enjoy life. Or one of them can die at 22 after being in the army for 3 years. The guy who died made it possible for the other one to work 40 more years to do whatever he's going to do. Either way, the guys in the Army make it possible for you and everyone else to do whatever it is you want to do. Dying in battle isn't what they want to really do. It wasn't mine, either.

Phil even that was just uncanny for me. EVERYTHING lined up for Obama! Culzie it was like the sea parted for him!! People were left without very little choice in the election. McCain and Palin??? I followed this election closely and the Democrats didn't pick him, Hillary was our candidate and she was a shoe in with that name. So much that she did the tortoise and the hare routine. Hillary saw that black man with that funny name and no resume and went to sleep in the primary. She woke up like Sonny Liston. And Obama did it without even being truculent.

I am still left wondering how does a person with his background and speaking ability goes almost completely unnoticed in our party and in our city??? Read Audacity of Hope and you will find that only folks in cornfields knew who he was, and that name made him radioactive! I don't know if anyone on this planet is like him! Harvard Law Review, half white, half African, Muslim name, Hawaiian born, looks like Kennedy, speaks like King, and can hoop. Economy in the worst shape its been in since 1929. People scared to death, but Obama has people giving him money at a record clip! And nobody could have told me that a black man would get elected in America without ANY help from Jesse Jackson or any of his kind. He got young people to get involved with politics! And he overcame all of that racism and division. This was something really really special.

As you know, I am a student of the divine. And I am also one of the most thorough cynical people you will ever know. I have little to no confidence in human beings, especially those without the holy spirit. And I have very little confidence in those who ARE believers. But every now and then I see something that reminds me there is a higher power at work. I am not saying that there was here, but that's and awful lot of coincidences. Believe what you want, but hey, thats a spicey meatball brother!

Anyone who talks about the last 8 years is a fool.

Its like, what...were things perfect 9-10-11 years ago? when Clinton was in office? Life was so good huh?

Then Bush came along...masterminded 9/11 and hurricane Katrina...and then launched his two evil holy wars against islam?

Is that it? Is that your world view? Is that your comprehensive understanding of american politics? History?

what a total embarrassment to yourself.

Bush was dealt probably the single WORST hand in US presidential politics. Within his first 2 years, he was dealt the largest attack on US soil and the largest natural disaster this country has ever seen, not to mention a slipping economy that was not being looked after because someone was too busy sticking his cigar in places it shouldnt be stuck.

Gimme a break.

also, WRD, can you name me some of those Polls you cite? Which countries are you talkin g about? Cause if you actually read world news, you would actually know that the perception of Obama in the worlds eyes has steadily slipped these last couple months.

France, Russia, Germany, UK, all have come out and said he is Naive and Egotistical. The Arab countries dont trust him, even though he bowed before their king...and the rest of the world doesnt even know what to think. Even Kenya...is pissed, they think he has turned his back on Africa. AND ILL CITE MY ARTICLES..UNLIKE YOUR FABRICATED BS STATS.

Keith I dont argue with your way of putting it. That is some righteous stuff he o'ccomplished and in record setting time. Him taking out Billary was masterful. He can hoop, just not as good as me. But all in all, and since you are a student of politics...you know better than anyone..that once you are the MAN..and you get to sit in that chair.... its what has he done for me lately?

The only one who wouldn't want to talk about the past 8 years is a fool who is a Republican and talks about being a Democrat with nary a post that ever proved otherwise. I read a tremendous amount of everything and barely can remember where I get information but the topic was in the Tribune right after he won the Nobel. That I remember. I don't have a life dedicated to looking for the worst of human thought. I leave that up to the copy and paste guy. I read about Ballon Boy too but couldn't tell you who I read it from. Maybe TV guide.com or OMG.com. Couldn't tell you. Just know I read it. I'm not rain man with that stuff. I've said a million times: I read stuff and go about my business. People I associate with don't sit down to dinner and emote on affairs that don't involve their day to day. Whatever the negative opinions on Obama that are out there they are avoiding reading that negativity because they understand what the media is about and who it relates to. They will talk about gas prices, who got wrote up at their job, who's boinking who at their job,who got fired from their job, what their kids are doing in school, who their kids are boinking at their school, who their spouse may be boinking, what their neighbors are doing, which neighbor is boinking whom and where the best place to but stuff cheap. I only talk politics on this sports blog. Go figure.

And as the saying goes "you can't talk about where you are going unless you talk about where you've been". If you believe that the mess this country is in didn't start before January 20th then you must not have been one of the millions of Americans who have suffered through what's been going on in this country for at least 5 years. If I bought a house in January that had a bad foundation, termites and a leaky roof doesn't that mean that it's going to cost me more to maintain that house compared to a house that had no serious problems? What problems did Bush inherit? What deficit? We've fought every major war with a Republican at the helm of this country each time. Democrats don't start wars. Bush was asleep at the wheel when we were attacked. Bombing the Trade center or the Oklahoma bombings were miniscule compared to the attacks of 9/11. Those guys came to our country and planned an attack over a serious amount of time and people put in place either didn't detect it or didn't know what was going on. That alone is unacceptable. What were we doing as a country at that time that was unlike any other time that they felt compelled to do a full frontal attack on our soil? Were we putting our nose somewhere we shouldn't have? Wasn't anything different than the usual help other countries only when we can get part of a natural resource. If you don't have anything to barter or for us to use we've never helped.

"Bush was asleep at the wheel when we were attacked. Bombing the Trade center or the Oklahoma bombings were miniscule compared to the attacks of 9/11. Those guys came to our country and planned an attack over a serious amount of time and people put in place either didn't detect it or didn't know what was going on. That alone is unacceptable"

And who was president during the time when these guys got here and planned it out?

Wait, u can't use that argument when it doesn't work for u...

Seeing that the attacks happened in Sept. it's conceivable that it started in 2001. Which kind of put it squarely on Bush. If Obama is supposed to right a country in 10 months shouldn't Bush be able to secure some information about an attack in 9 months? They knew after Bush was elected that it would be easier to get it done with him at the helm. That argument really works for me...

You can't (I don't think) pin 911 this as a Clinton vs. Bush. The planning (according to most reports) started in 1996, the terrorist team was formed by '98 I believe which also coincided with a full-out order to capture bin laden which was messed up at least once while Clinton was in office.

Of course Bush fumbled as well once he got in office despite all the evidence and the rest is history. I would agree Bush was a complete idiot for the most part in foreign policy but the extremism going on goes well beyond Bush/Clinton - Obama and conservative vs. right wing foreign policy...just look at the chaos still going on within Iran and Pakistan. This could get real ugly at some point...

Tommy, I really don't like to play the blame game but sometimes it's needed when someone is deflecting reality. What I do know is that a lot of the world do not like us. Mainly because of our bullying. That's why we went to war without a lot of support. We should've gotten support like we got sympathy after 9/11. But it appears that every other country knew that we were going into the wrong country. Were we unseating a tyrant who had weapons of mass destruction or bringing democracy to Iraq? We didn't convince those who suspect we were not being truthful. Why didn't we help Darfur or Bosnia who have either a tyrant or no democracy? Every president has foibles and are human. Why divide our country's needs because of party lines?

WRD SAYS
"What were we doing as a country at that time that was unlike any other time that they felt compelled to do a full frontal attack on our soil?"

your the biggest peice of S alive..if you think the USA deserved to be attacked on 9/11.

Culzie - I believe William is saying THEY thought we deserved it and attacked us. They are not crazies like some would have you to believe. Most Americans understand why so many folks around the world hate us. You can do an unscientific study and ask 10 folks you don't know. Ask them candidly where they can give you an honest answer.

Tommie is right. Clinton and Bush missed it. But Obama won't. And I am not sure Bush missed anything. Like I told you, he and his friends got PAID. Bush and his "friends" are in the OIL and WAR business - his family and friends own everything OIL and WAR related. No Bid Contracts for a fake war with no weapons of mass destruction. War is nothing more than business for them. They do NOT care one bit about the red white and blue. Just GREEN. They got into office - to secure the funding for their wars. Made sure the cash was on hand and all they needed was a war after that. Its worse than Madoff and all the SNL and Banks and Housing. EVERYONE is stealing and fleecing!!! THAT is what's wrong with America. Its got no soul. And now - every business left standing is using this as an opportunity to squeeze the middle class and working poor. Tax this, recession. Tax that, recession. No raises, recession. Layoffs, recession. No credit, recession. But their lives remain uninterupted. Teeing off and eating grey poupon!

pure foolishness and un-informed view of history and fact.

keith..you need to do more than read the urinal walls at a kayne west concert to be given some credit as a purveyor of world history.

it would be nice..if occasionally i got some credit for citing my sources and making solid arguments.

its getting old battling ignorance and mythological conspiracy theorist garbage!

the other thing keith..is they think EVERYONE deserves it.

havent you been paying attention?

how many bombings have there been in Pakistan this last month?

3-4-5?

Schools...Colleges...Womens Centers..Police Stations?

dude...WTF is that all about?

Culzie - I am out of my element when it comes to some of this stuff. I don't know all the world politics. My opinion comes from a vaccum and a limited perspective. But I am not alone with my opinion. Maybe um wrong. Thats just my two-cents of an opinion.

Culzie, someone pissed those folks off. Thats why they are bombing. That's why ANYONE would do somethign like that. I don't believe that everyone in the world is "crazy or uncivilized", like we report it. Like they just caught a virus and when nuts. These are calculated bombings planned and directed at specific targets, sound familiar??? And who would waste their time and energy to do that??? Not some crazies, but someone who was paid to do it. FEAR, FEAR, FEAR, FEAR, FEAR, FEAR, FEAR. I am sick to death of it. In fact we are all IMMUNE to it. Nobody really scared anymore because we have lost all of our money, been bombed, been poisoned and nobody is safe anymore. The big bad Republicans CAN NOT PROTECT US, and they apparently can't count either. In fact the ONLY thing they seem to be good at is MAKING MONEY off War and Oil.

Culzie, I said before that you don't ever fully understand what a person is saying then you go full-tilt into an unnecessary tangent. Have you been listening at all? I ain't Malcolm X saying that chickens are coming home to roost. I said that they knew that we had a president in charge who was gullible and they saw a way to punish us because he was in office. Whatever reasons they had will never fully be known to us. Just hating us isn't enough for them. And it's not the citizens that they hate it's the government. People just end up being collateral damage. They aimed those planes at landmarks that were more a part of our government. If they wanted to just kill people they could've just concentrated on New York alone and waited for a parade or just hit a bunch of buildings. Pentagon, World Trade and the White house are Government institutions. People are always secondary when it's all said and done. Want to talk about collateral damage: As a matter of fact we bombed Iraq and killed hundreds of thousands of people just to overthrow their president who didn't have anything we said he had. We took the war to people who had nothing to do with the attacks. We should've taken more troops into the country that are harboring the guys who attacked us. Why did we send 90 percent to Iraq? By killing so many people for really nothing, we've made people who didn't have an opinion of us, hate us. And Keith is absolutely right when he says that people who made off well with this war had a vested interest in this war. Bush is from oil. Cheney was a V.P. for Halliburton. How gullible are you that you can't seem to see that? You keep crying about the left and conservatives and really the average person doesn't even know what that is all about. The average sum up politics as "the people who care about us" and "the people who don't". If you didn't tell a person you were a Democrat they wouldn't know it by who you have sympathy for. The average person feel that Bush and his gang messed this country up worse than any president ever. I'm sorry but he was so bad that we got Obama. I'm not saying that Obama is bad. What I'm saying is what Keith said: Muslim-named, partially african american from the biggest city of crooks. His middle name was even Hussein. Hollywood trying to write a script like that would've had to make it a fantasy movie and not a drama. It's like a man or woman being so bad that their mate turned to the same sex. A child being so dumb that he repeats kindergarten until he's 15. Like a football team being 0-32 and selling out all their games regardless. So bad that the Pope had to cuss you out while giving mass. Bush was such a complete and utter failure that they canceled Mad magazine because people were tired of his face. His legacy is down there with Jim Jones and koolaide. Obama would have to get caught making it rain with preschool kids to have a worse legacy than Bush. I'm not left or right. I'm just a disillusioned.

And why would it be a concert for Kanye West that Keith would be reading something on a urinal wall? Your insults are so myopic ( God, I love that word) and disconcerting it's a wonder that Keith doesn't feel your utter disrespect for him. He's a nice guy so that makes it easy for you to run roughshod over his feelings. In my opinion you are feeble and argue over things that you don't understand. You see words and can't put them in the proper context. You make statements that aren't even covering the topic. That makes you a dullard. There is no gray with you. Only black and white. If I said you make stupid statements you would take it that I said that you were stupid. Another example: you argued with me for about 40 entries stating that you are not a racist when no one ever said that you were. Go back and start from the beginning and see that I never said that you were. I said that Keith and I had a conversation and I asked him if you seemed to be and he said that you were obtuse(long answer short again). At no time did I say that I thought you were. The jury is still out on my opinion of you but that shouldn't keep you from sleeping at night. But still, you went on and on about how you weren't and I said only that you protest too much. Show me where I stated it. I just argued with you and at no time did the phrase you are a racist came out. All I said is that you have a problem with people in politics the complexion of Valerie Jarrett. That's not saying that you are a racist, that was a question of your intent. If you said that I hated white people(like you have) I would ignore you like I did. Why argue with you about who I am. Your words would only be an insult since you don't know me. You are a Democrat but you hate on Obama at every turn. You say that he's a nice guy and you like him but every post you've ever made about him and politics were not good. You have to ask yourself why you love to shine the light on them in the manner that you do. It's like somewhere in your mind you are trying to even some kind of playing field. You are the one who brings DMX, Mike Tyson and whoever is acting badly into a topic that is never about them. We can be talking about a no-hitter and you will bring up DMX getting locked up for mistreating his dogs. Why on earth do you do that? Something is going on with you and deep down you are the only one who know. That's not me trying to use psychology or to insult you. I'm just speaking from the truth. I Just showed you how you argue over nothing. This blog had veered away from talking about politics and you brought up how A gay activist is turning away from Obama after they sided with him during the election. Whatever happened to the story about the kid who asked Obama why people hated him? Too conservative a conversation but an angry ex-Obama backer made you usual top 10 list. Moving right along.

wrd..all i have to say..is go study some history..

islamic jihadist hate all things non muslim.

they were bombing 5000 year old buddist temples in afganistan...long before bush was in power.

your just naive and ill informed.

you would rather hate on Bush and Cheny than the real bad guys.

we havent taken 1 drop of Iraq oil..but i guess facts dont matter to crazies like you. your just into hearing your own insane blabber.

im getting sick of trying to shed light on this for you..

and I have never brought up Mike Tyson...and I bring up DMX..because it is an inside joke between me and Hitman..because he used to party with him. you need to take your ownn advice and listen more, and talk less..cause everytime you talk...you just sound more and more ridiculous...

and im almost embarrassed for how you treat keith...you treat him like he is some helpless victim who doesnt have a voice...

dude...keith has some of the strongest opinions in here...he isnt weak like you assert...he is BOLD and BRASH...and to wit..thats why we get along.

stop treating him like your baby brother....he can handle himself..

there is nothing more ridiculous than when someone tries to speak for someone else....

I don't know if you noticed but Keith and I have a lot in common. One of the things we have in common is what you try to insult him with. Which in turn insults me. Maybe I get tired of you trying to shoot down heroes that we have in common. For one I greatly appreciate what Obama stands for. Not even talking about his politics but where he has the country. I like that a lot of people didn't have the faith in our country to elect a black man. In some ways his election gives us faith in our countrymen. So when someone does the things that you do it insults them. When people tell half-truths and keep up the running negatives it insults us. Imagine for a second that this was a blog about Chicago sports and someone came along and insult all their players. You would get arguments from them. Just bring up Cutler sucks to no one in particular and they would respond. Try and have your patented conversations with anyone about Cutler sucking and someone who like Cutler will respond. Like I said, you think of this as your own private blog and don't realize that you insult people. Or maybe you do and that's what you are trying to do. And lord knows I like you calling me crazy. I'm a literal person and won't say something unless it's reality. For example: how do I "sound" like something or "talk" about something if I'm typing this stuff? You hearing voices again? And about the gas thing: have you ever heard of monopolizing something? Take out the competition and what do you have? A MONOPOLY. See how it works? And why should I rail against extremist? They don't bomb everyone. There are never bombs dropped in Sweden, Jamaica or Haiti. Just to name a few. I don't like what happened to our country. I don't like the people who planned against this country. I was a soldier prepared to defend this country more than you ever did so please save the anti-american rants against me. I'm a proud veteran. And I wish I had time to go back and copy and post every post you brought up about DMX, Mike Tyson and others. You are so scattershot with how you post about something that I can't begin to tell you which blog you posted that crap on. And I distinctly remember you bringing DMX up long before Hitman brought up that he partied with him. You were the reason he even brought it up in the first place. And please kill the drama about how you are embarrassed you are for Keith. You are too busy trying to put him in his play how can you be confused? You're the one always trying to embarrass him. He's too nice to acknowledge it. That's where our common-ness ends and that's why you bump heads with me.

I knew this pi$$ing contest could aspire to the 1,000 mark.

Keep up the good work, men!

nanny nanny boo boo!
