I wasn't sure whether to chuckle or cringe at the Tommy Lasorda interview on Comcast SportsNet last Friday.
I love my senior citizens, so there was a part of me that felt bad for Tommy. It looks like he's asleep, but I'm sure it was just the sun in his eyes and a bad earplug.
And I felt bad for my friend Dave Kaplan, who handled it well.
Interviews like that happen to all reporters if they're around long enough, and when they do, they're always good for a chuckle. That's why this one is doing so well on YouTube.
To be fair...
The Sun was in his eyes
The Microphone had wind blowing on it...
His ear peace was worthless (Comcast..so im sure it wasnt top of the line remote equip)..
and Dave Kaplan is worthless as an interviewer....
So....all things being considered.
I say he did ok.

Its funny, because my mom's client (she is the head nurse for a Billionaire) plays in a standing poker game with Tommy and Bubby Bivasy and Jenny Craigs Husband and...the Dad from 8 is enough.
She says Tommy is a riot....
