The reincarnation of Bob Knight continues with the latest Guitar Hero commercial.
Knight has gone from a brilliant enigma of a basketball coach who hated the media to an insightful and entertaining ESPN analyst.
With a very red nose. You see his spots lately? Bob, SPF 40 on the golf course.
And now this. Sliding across the floor ala Tom Cruise. It's a funny bit, and it's good to see him having fun.
Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams and Rick Pitino also are in the spot, although the word is they weren't performing together.
Guitar Hero folks know what they're doing. Who's next, Jerry Krause?

Roman, the commercial is funny, but there were a lot of times when Knight's intensity was not the least bit amusing. I'm an IU alum and supported Knight because his good points outweighed his bad ones, but there were a few times when that position was hard to defend. I'm glad he is out of coaching and agree with you that it's nice to see those guys having fun and frowning as an act rather than for real.
Does ESPN want to make people sick on purpose?
Knight is vile, no matter how television has dressed him up and made him play nice as an analyst. Many readers here disagree, I know. When I see his mug, I use my remote.
