The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that Bob Knight is interested in coaching the Bulldogs, and in case Georgia fans need a reminder of the Knight brand, Pat Knight illustrated that famous family temper.
I'm never impressed when a coach throws a temper tantrum. Coaches always talk about players being role models, and then they act like spoiled brats who don't get their way when there's a bad call against their team.
Why is that tolerated?
It seems to be getting better, though. Knight-type explosions have become rare.
But maybe that will change if the General ends up in Georgia. Apparently he had one of his minions call the AJC to make his interest public.
Could be a good move for Georgia. Knight did a good job breathing some life into Texas Tech, and Georgia could use a pulse.
He'll still be able to recruit a certain type of athlete who won't be drafted but will be a good college player for three or four years. Knight knows how to coach.
I grew up in Northwest Indiana as a huge Knight fan. That changed when I became a sports writer and covered the guy, but my respect for his coaching ability never wavered.
I have found it interesting, however, to see how much of a media type he's become on ESPN. He calls reporters by their first names and is friendly and answers questions he might have erupted at as a coach. It's funny how personalities change when checks are being signed by news outlets.
Will the old Bob Knight return? Stay tuned.
Yeah, no emotion is awesome...and what you've all done with the castrations is equally impressive
car jackers and muggers have never had it so easy

Bob Knight is the greatest college basketball coach of all time! He has always done more with less than anyone else in history!
