This was an appropriately fitting conclusion to a decrepit season.
How strange to be watching a game between the Cowboys and the Eagles where BOTH teams hold their own fates in the ballance.
In the two previous games that impacted the Bears, niether opposing team had a stake in the outcome.
If the Bears had spent a little less time watching the scoreboard, and a little more time taking care of their own business, they could be rooting for Philly right about now.
I'm disgusted.
In my profession, if I did the kind of job that Lovie Smith has done these past two years, I would have been shown the door.
Probably after year #1.
Of course, nobody would ever be stupid enough to guarantee me millions of dollars to do a job that I had no ability to perform; but that's a topic for another discussion.
On second thought ... it's moot.
