Let's hear those Bears predictions

| | Comments (13)

BY RICKY O'DONNELL

The Bears are three plays away from being 6-0. Three. Plays. Instead the Bears host to the Vikings this week with both teams tied atop the NFC North at 3-3.

So what do you guys expect on Sunday at Soldier Field?

Will we be in for another legendary shootout, like the last time these teams played in Chicago? Will the Bears' ferocious run defense be able to contain the league's most talented back? Can the Bears get to Gus Frerrotte? Will the Bears be haunted by the ghost of Bernard Berrian?

SI's Peter King likes the Bears. So does every member of ESPN's expert panel.

I'll take the Bears 30-20.

But what do you guys think? I'm just hoping Jason McKie doesn't get any more carries on third-and-one.

Bears O line will get manhandled...again. 10-6 Vikings

I am with you, Roman.

Do you think the Vikings have a cheerleader promo like the Eagles did?

Close game and low scoring. 17-14 Bears. One thing to watch: Will the Minnesota O-Line and running game wear down the out of shape defense?

I'm going to shoot from the hip and say 27-17, Bears.

Yeah, I'll definitely take the Bears in this one. It's funny how the poll shows fans are not worried most about #28, but rather our own coaching staff. Sigh.

But yeah, it should be a win and Indy should beat Green Bay, giving us the #1 spot in the NFC North. I say the strategy the Bears should adopt is to let Gus Frerotte throw a touchdown on the first drive. That way, Gus will get so excited he'll ram his head into a wall again and be escorted out of the stadium by EMTs, leaving "T-Jack" to take snaps from under center.

Anyone see Biggs' story on how Warren Sapp believes Tommie Harris isn't the same player? Something about a knee injury Sapp said? Well, coach Loser, I'm sorry, Lovie, was not going to have any of that. He said Tommie was fine and that Sapp probably didn't even watch the game tape. LOL. You tell him Lovie! I mean, wouldn't you be feeling pretty good if you had a contract worth $40 mill ($10 mill. guaranteed) without doing anything? Yeah, Tommie is just fine.

I fear that Their Adrian Peterson is looking for 300 yards on the ground Sunday and that he might get it. Unless the Bears dedicate the defense to stopping the run, in which case Gus Frerotte throws for 500 yards. After what we saw last week, fear should be in the air for all Bear fans.

The Bears stop Peterson but never come close to getting Gus Frerrotte. He then picks apart that stupid cover-2 defense while Lovie stares on in disbelief.
After the game the media asks Lovie why Tommie Harris has become completely worthless and he will say something like "Tommie was a lil tired at the end. He is coming off the ball quicker than ever and...."

Turner and Lovie will run Forte run right into the middle of the line over and over again like they drafted Earl Campbell and he will finish with 79 yards rushing on 25 carries.

Orton will throw for 203 yards, one INT and one TD and the Bears will crown him as the greatest QB in NFL history while Rex Grossman is caught putting Ben Gay in Orton's helmet. Jerry Angelo quickly checks ebay to see if that “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” banner that Dubya used a few years ago is up for sale.

Brian Urlacher will make a tackle. Did you hear that Brian?

Mike Brown might make one too but then again... maybe he won't. If he does not he will just shrug his shoulders and say “Oh well… dats football”

Devin Hester will continue to run out of bounds on every kick return further killing the most exciting show to ever hit Chicago sports since Michael Jordan.

Lovie will wait until after the game to look at the film so he can see all the changes that SHOULD have been made DURING the game... but were not.

Vikings 20 Bears 17

I'll take the Bears. They have been tough in general but seem to ease up and let the other team come back all too often. Against the Vikings they should be able to sustain their efforts since first place is on he line. I'll also go against the expected and say that the Vikings will not stop Forte. A good running game, play action passing, and solid defense against the run and pass bring the BEARS a solid victory at 27-13 and elevates them to the elite of the NFL. If one predicts, why be wimpy?

LOL..as opposed to your usual fact laiden and opinion free posts?

Bears 24 - Vikings 10

Man, if only we could get all our games on Sunday night we'd be world beaters. Unfortunately, the schedule Gods have given us plenty of non-primetime football and this is our self destruct Bermuda Triangle. So, let's see, the Bears let Minny stay close for three quarters by constantly shooting themselves in the High-Noon foot and then, BAM, they kick some fourth quarter butt. Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket, they kick some fourth quarter butt. Fugetabout it, this is our season changing game. Go Bears!

I predict, I will be asking for the check around the end of the 3rd Quarter, and will watch the 4th quarter just to see Rex come in for Mop up Time!!!

Culzieeeeeee, let it go. Let it go. Rex is only good for clipboards and cups of gatorade. In fact, I would dispatch him just to make Orton even more comfortable.
