Can one of the super-fans who were booing Rex tell me why? If you played behind a high school O line, you wouldn't get much time to throw either.

You need to look at the big picture here.
Those fans weren't booing Rex because they hate him. They were booing him because they never want to see him again.
Nothing personal.
Actually they were booing Lovie Smith for even putting him into the game.
They've seen enough, and don't want to offer the powers that be any excuse for revisiting the halcyon days Grossman Era. They just want to put a stake through the heart of this beast, and no longer worry about whether or not DracuRex will suck the blood out of another season.
Only a dumb ass would brag about a preseason game. Tackling all around the NFL is horrible. Doesn't that even it out. Didn't their D give up 20 points before the half? Even if it was 14 you can't brag about that after how bad we looked in the first two guys on O.

Don't get me wrong - obviously Rex and Orton are no better than career backups.
And I also agree that there is more to the story than Rex - namely his annointment by Lovie and Angelo as a top flight QB who shouldn't go challenges in training camp.
But come on - this entire offense BLOWS, especially the O line. Put Brady or Manning under center and they'll get killed. The story's over on Rex - no need to kill him more. They guy has handled the criticism with class while he runs for his life every time he drops back.
Boo Kreutz if possible...while he gets pushed into the backfield every other play. Most over-rated player in the game maybe.
