One tv, two games

| | Comments (6)

I'll never forget going to Dan McNeil's house and seeing a battery of like 7 TV monitors in his living room. Marc Silverman has two. I have one, and I'm going to keep it that way, even though I'm interested in two games tonight.

Yes, I'll be watching the Cubs-Brewers game primarily. I don't consider myself more of a Cubs fan, but having to choose, I'm going to watch that one tonight instead of Sox-Twins.

Went to the Cubs-Marlins game yesterday, and it was a great game. Edmonds' catch to close it out was perfect.

The scoreboard watching at Wrigley is unique. While every other park has real-time info on every game with an automated jumbotron-type board, with Wrigley you wait until a number is posted by a team each inning. In one inning yesterday, no number was posted by Houston for a while. The buzz was the Astros were putting a thumping on the Brewers, and when a seven was posted, it was one of the biggest cheers of the day. (Actually, there are small automated boards on the sides of Wrigley, and one guy gave a score that hadn't been posted yet on the big board. Someone chastised him for taking away the suspense. He apologized.)

So which game will you be watching?

And thanks to my guys Ricky and Kyle for filling in so admirably last week.

what's the other game?

I was right above that Catch....I have a picture of the Divot Edmonds made..ill email it to you.

Sadly I was flying during the whole Brewers game. Looked awesome though. Saw the hi lights.

* Footnote, I did fly out of Milwaukee Airport and had a Brat at the Brat Stop!

I would take a Kosher dog w/Mustard and Chicago Relish over a Brat any day of the week though.

GO CUBS GO!!!

also..have you thought about

PICpictureTURE?

I know Reinsdorf can sit on his hands longer than a Tibetan monk, but if he can pick up ONE strong starter, and bench two of his rally killin' personnel, we can hold off the Twins and Tigers. The Twins will hit a killer losing streak and the Tigers are one injury away of playing out the season.

Come on Jerry, how about one for the Kids?

Oh, and by the way, the two benchees are Konerko and Guillen!

I feel like Blog readership is way down...

Hey Romo...do you have any idea what kinda hits the blog gets daily? monthly?

I am curious to know how many people are just passive readers...vs. dbags like me who think everything that happens in the world needs their own personal caption.

I am starting to realize that without being able to save my info, that its getting very tedious to post these days...

*gasp

Blog needs air....too tight!!
