Give us a Bears headline

| | Comments (11)

I believe Roman tells you that the best headline has a chance to be in tomorrows newspaper, but I obviously don't have that sort of sway.

Still, I'll try my hardest to send the winner an autographed Steve Tucker column, straight from the man himself. With so much at stake, these better be good...

Pack served Frozen!

Bearsicles!

I already posted mine in the previous thread. C'mon rookie....this should have been started yesterday...

Ricky responds: Oh ok, I didn't really understand how this thing works. Sorry, I won't make that mistake again.

Favre Blown Away By Bear Weather!

Favre K.O.'d

today is tomorrow, right...so I lose

A good headline would be, "WHO CARES?"

The Bear's season went into the crapper almost three months ago, but the thing that amazes me most is the high level of interest they've been able to sustain throughout the season.

I chalk that up to having a legion of gullible fans; myself included.

Why we continue to invest so much emotional capital in this franchise remains a mystery to me.

Since the Super Bowl loss, the priorities of the head coach have been:

1: Get a fat contract.
2: Get rid of the competition. (Ron Rivera)
3: Take care of his friend. ("Buddy" Babich)
4: Award starting jobs to Grossman and Bensen without any open competition, because that's what Angelo needed in order to validate his draft choices.

These are the principles that have dictated the way this year has played out, and somebody should be fired for allowing it to happen.

Lovie Smith and Jerry Angelo are a pair of self-absorbed losers; incapable of acknowledging their own mistakes, and therefore destined to repeat them.

Don't get your hopes up for next year with these guys the helm.

hey anon. 'Who cares' is even better for the Skiles headline. Can you win twice? No matter, as we will never know who you are.

Stuck sez: "No matter, as we will never know who you are."

Sorry about that. When I clean out the junk on this old PC, I sometimes forget to re-enter my info on this blog.

It doesn't prompt me to do so, and I just assume that my name is still up there.

BEARS beat Saints Even On a Sunday! Amen

Ricky-ster:

I'm not going to be in town this weekend, so here are some potential headlines for the Bears/Saints game:

WHEN BEARS WIN:

ONE BOILERMAKER CHASES ANOTHER

SAINTS PRAY FOR END

BREES BLOWS IN LOSS

IF SAINTS WIN:

SAINTS HAIL MARY. REJOICE!

STIFF BREES BACKS SAINTS ATTACK

Seedy, how can you write a headline for an event that hasn't happened yet? Ricky, Roman would never stand for that. So feel free to use my headline (any one of the several I usually submit will suffice) when I post it after I get home from the game. I didn't post any last week because it took me until now to defrost. Sorry BC, you must've missed me. Although I must admit, it's been hard to top "Bad Rex....." (Okay, now THAT was funny!)

HA!!!

"Saints K.O.'d"
