I don't have a good feel for this one. If the offensive line gets Cedric Benson off at all, I think the Bears win. Huge "if" though.
I think Brian Griese will do well. I just get the feeling going into games that the Bears' quarterback position isn't as shaky as it was with Rex.
How bad will the defense be today? I think they'll be fired up after all the talk about how terrible they were last week and they'll do well. The D-Line will be outsized again, by a big margin, but I think they'll get to Donovan.
Still, I'm picking the Eagle 24, Bear 17
I think having a one-dimensional back who to stay in the whole game so he can "take" it over in the 4th quarter can be absolutely brutal to any team. We have to have a change of pace to be successful. Now that several defensive players are playing their natural positions it should have a great effect because now guys won't be out of position and trying to take up the slack like guys have be doing. It's how we handle Westbrook that will be telling. Any team can have a bad game ,even at home, like the BEARS have proven. Maybe they can focus better being on the road. GO BEARS!!!
Yeah this game does have a funny feeling about it. We will need the offensive effort from last week and the defense to show up on the road. That is asking a lot these days. Doesn't look too good. I still want to see Hester return one or two. Go Bears!
Just watched the Patriots open up a can on the Dolphins! And it looks like we go ourselves a game 7 in the ALCS! Bulls looked very promising.
I've just started a new club - it's the "I hate Adam Archuleta" club. Anyone want to join? Membership is free, you just have to have an extreme dislike for our #20.
Roman responds: He's trying. It's just that last season wasn't a fluke.
Bears Win!!!! Hey Jewels, sign me up for I.H.A.A.! Now Boston needs to close out Cleveland and my evening will be complete!
Brian Griese with an amazing late game drive. They started at the 3 yard line, reminds me of the old Elway drive. Putting Hester at Wide out is starting to scare opposing teams. Moose had a linebacker covering him on that winning touchdown drive. I was ready to write the Bears off there. Simply Amazing!
All I can say is "Oh my God!" Just when you think the coffin is shut!
REMEMBER. Ms Justice is the lead in the B.G. Train. Rex is Dead to us. DEAD!!!! You Hear me? I'm sure someone will try to take credit for our faith in B.G. UP YOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRS!
Go BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHOA!!!!!! I can't believe it! Griese in the the 2-minute drill - fantastic! I'll sleep easy tonight.
Julie, before the start of the season I bought a white #20(Jones) jersey with the Superbowl XLI patch for 15 dollars at a garage sale. I wear it whenever the BEARS wear their white jerseys and it's hard to know that there is a guy ruining it for me. Roman is right: the guy is trying but he's just a bad fit. Whatever he had with the Rams he should've bottled and saved for later. Now with this win I hope you guys take it easy on Griese. The only negative thing I can say is that Lovie needs to tighten the reins on these guys. They are looking poorly coached right now. Berrian is a wuss who needs to come off the field. When can you call pass-interference? Doesn't a guy have to look back at least once when he's defending like that Eagle did in the endzone? Officiating was a brutal. They tried to rob us. Starting at the three instead of the 6? Morons. Speaking of moronic: How many times did Hester not field a kick and then went out on offense on the first play to make them pay for it. Coaches are over-thinking and under-thinking. That has to change. We need more emotion. And it was good to see Ced run down what we thought was a turnover. The guy can average yards a carry but at least he showed a little heart at least once. He just have to stop tip-toeing behind the line and outrunning his blocks on screens. GO BEARS!!!
I suppose I should be happy they won (and I am) but watching that game was kind of like getting your wisdom teeth pulled, and watching them this year is like getting your wisdom teeth pulled.
I give props to Griese, even with that popgun arm, he does make decisions Rex could never seem to make. (though is it me or was that winning TD to Muhammad a total fluke?)
but the fantasy value of Berrian is down the chute.
btw... Berrian, nice "block" on the linebacker on the almost Jason McKie touchdown (wasn't a td because Berrian whiffed on the block)
this teams desperately needs an upgrade at RB.
Okay, first of all I'm glad the Bears won. I'll take it. Griese had a decent (Yes, decent NOT great) game. He did not turn the ball over and he lead the game winning drive. However, as I said last week in the blog, Griese waits too long to come alive and start being aggressive and going down field. After watching the last 4 games, you almost hope the Bears do get behind in the game in order for Griese to start going balls out and make some plays. The guy plays like a chump for 3 quarters with the whole "playing it safe and managing the game" philosophy. (You don't see Tom Brady and the patriots playing it safe for the majority of the game) We're making these games a lot closer than what they should be. We should've tacked on 2 more TDs. Grossman may have been horrible at times, but I at least respect the guy for not being afraid of taking chances and trying to make plays from the beginning to the end of the game.
Roman, he might be "trying," but Archuleta gets beat on practically every play. If I were the opposing offensive coordinator, I'd run every single play right at #20. Of course that game plan gets squashed in the second half, since he always gets benched.
This is my post from last week's gameday (I'm copying it and pasting it here):
Note to Brian Griese:
Forgive them, Brian, for they know not from which orifice they speak. Now, go and single-handedly beat the Eagles on Sunday.
The only "Drive" I'll ever remember is Brian Griese's 97-yard today--masterful in everyway. Without a doubt, Brian has the best throwing mechanics of anyone in the NFL, and he's by far the smartest QB who ever lived. I guess that's why at U of M Brady was Brian's backup--as it should be.
Way to go Brian Griese--another feather amongst many in your cap!
Now, go and win the Super Bowl for this motley bunch of ne'ed-do-wells.
Great Win.
Still Kruetz scares me a bit.
Not to take anything away from Griese, he had a hell of a drive down the stretch, but am I the only one who thinks that 19 pts from 4 FG's is a bit weak considering we started every possession on the 40 or better.
HMMMMM???? STUCK???? ANYONE???
Great Win.

getting back to Archie Archuleta, but I've raised this issue before.
how many white guys other than John Lynch start in today's NFL secondaries?
the secondary is probably the most racially discriminating part of the NFL.
It's worse than the NBA, white guys need not apply.
for those of us old enough to remember... it's almost unfathomable that the Bears actually had Fencik AND Plank starting at one time.
Kind of amusing if you really think about it.
Bogey, Ive brought it up before.....go back and read some of my tank johnson posts.
i think you are embarking on the old"fast twitch vs. slow twitch"argument
im a bit tired of the whole white/black issue myself..it was good before the season started, but now we have real issues to talk about.
William, you got ripped off. Since when is anything 15-bucks at a garage sale??? And now you have a #20 jersey that says "T. Jones" and whenever you wear it, you just make everyone wish it was still last year.
Does everyone finally get it now? Lovie Smith is a bad coach and an idiot. He did everything he could to give the game back to the Eagles by letting Ron Turner call Benson's number repeatedly in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Did anyone notice that Benson killed every drive in the 2nd half of the game? That because of him it was always third and long on every drive. Did that moron Lovie notice Cedric's yards per carry average was 2.7 while A Peterson's was 5.3? You want more proof Lovie is a moron?
1, He believed Rex Grossman was better than Brian Griese and it cost him a Super Bowl Victory.
2, He thinks Bob Babich is better than Ron Rivera. All Bob Babich has done is coach the defense to become one of the worst in the NFL.
3, He hired and retains Ron Turner, who also thought "Wrecks" Grossman was the man, calls a miserable game, can't find a way to get Hester involved in the offense and designs offense game plans that keeps the defense on the field 70% of the time and gets players hurt.
4, He keeps Benson in the line up even though he is not an NFL running back but is great at killing momentum and scoring drives. Lovie is too stupid to learn a lesson from the quarterback fiasco. Even when everyone on planet Earth can see that "Wrecks" Grossman is not a quarterback, Lovie stuck with him even though he lost the Super Bowl, got half of the defense hurt and was a miserable failure with historically low ratings. Now he stubbornly insists on using Benson even though he is killing every drive the Bears try to put together.
5, The man he thought was a second string quarterback leads the Team on a 97 yard drive with no Time Outs, CALLING his own plays. Is there any doubt that the Bears would have never done that if Lovie's man Ron Turner was calling the plays?
6, Despite the fact the Benson is a terrible running back, Lovie will have him in the starting line up next week. And that is the final proof that he is NOT an NFL head coach.
It was a fun victory but the Bears will never be contenders again with Lovie in charge.
P.S. Hey Brian, call your own plays from now on maybe you can save the Team!
Jesse>>>>>322 yds no interceptions.....if it was Tom Brady...you'd be saying "what an awesome quarterback, he's going to the hall of fame". Do you actually think it is Brian's decision to 'wait too long to go deep'.
Now that Brian has been somewhat consistent, the Bears Defense has something to play for. Now maybe they will stop making MoRon
Rivera look like a genuis. Maybe they will start 'caring again'.
Rogers Park Kris, stuckinwisconsin, and Paul Anderson, thought you guys might like to know, Griese called his own plays in that last Drive. (Something about his microphone wasn't working....) He had the same problem in the SF game in 2002. Something about getting the ships at sea thru his helmet.
You would think from reading on here that Griese never came back before. Tried against Detroit. The D just went into the record books for 4th quarter yds allowed. Did come back and win the GB game. Came back to overcome a 2 TD deficit in the Vikings game. The idiotic kick to Peterson spoiled that.
This was posted on a message board. Pretty impressive.
QB Comparison on 3rd and 6+
Griese - 16/24, 66%, 170 yards, 1TD, 1INT, 84 rating
P. Manning - 9/21,43%, 124 yards, 2TD, 2INT, 54 rating
T. Brady - 14/24, 185 yards, 3TD, 2INT, 87 rating
C. Palmer - 12/25, 48%, 163 yards, 2TD, 3INT, 56 rating
These numbers are telling me 2 things. Throwing on 3rd and 6 is not easy, even for the best passers. Brady is hanging in there but all 3 of these QB's have far superior receiving targets than we do. Last year for the entire season Tom Brady only completed 45% of his 3rd and 6+ attempts and his rating was 71.
It also shows you how unbelievably bad we are at putting ourself in 3rd and 6 or better. Because Greise has the same amount of attempts as all 3 of these guys, yet he's only played in 3 games, when they are all at 5 or 6 games. Granted, these teams may run draws more than us, but still, it shouldn't be close.
What's worse... Griese has DOUBLE the amount of attempts at 3rd and 11+ than either Brady or Manning. That's how bad we are at giving up sacks, 3rd down penalties and negative run plays."

RPK, I'm beginning to wonder if Turner is closely related to Dan Reeves. Elway finally admitted that he didn't enjoy having to come from behind more than any other QB in history, and why. Reeves playcalling was too conservative until the end of the game when he let Elway loose. Elway used to get blamed for it too.
Roman responds: She's back.
I don't think Brian Griese's audio in his helmet went kaput. I think he decided that Turner's play calling wasn't going to win it for the Bears and decided to take matters into his own hands. I mean c'mon: pass, run, pass, run...especially with Benson carrying for a little less than 3 yds/carry? Pass it 5-6 times consecutively then give it to Benson; he should have enough steam to get good yards for the few times he does carry it. Or better yet, let our Adrian Peterson run it. He's avg around 4 yds/carry and has better pass blocking skills. And bench Adam Arch-u-let-a-run-by-me-for-a-ez-touchdown. There's a reason why he was benched in Washington.
first, bogey--you mean to tell me adam archuleta gets criticized more than Byron Leftwich, David Garrard, Donovan McNabb, Mike Vick, Vince Young, or Daunte Culpepper? Try again. I think the only reason why Cleo Lemon has avoided any especially damning press because NO ONE CARES ABOUT MIAMI save for Jason Taylor and Ricky Williams.
second--I dare somebody to tell me Rex Grossman could have led that 97-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter of a game with no timeouts and no assistance from the coaches save for a brief sideline conference. i'll give griese his props--i don't even think kyle orton could have done that, at least not yet.
third--corey dillon, please? shoot, i'd take marshall faulk at this point. no, i'd take RASHAAN SALAAM. cedric had some good runs in the first half, but where'd he go?
fourth--thank gods this one turned out okay. i hate seeing the eagles lose, but i love seeing the bears win.
The best thing that happen in Sundays game.....Brian Griese losing communications with Ron Turner in that last drive.
Someone blogged last week it should happen.
Well spoken advice.
Great Win Bears!!!!!!
Still need somebody to carry the rock.
Go Brian.....
Go Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give the OL credit they played one hell of game Sunday.
Great Griese.
Great Win!!!!!!!
Lose that ear plug for the rest of the games.
No way Turner call those plays.
Good job,
Go Bears!!!!!!!!!!
Bogey sez: "getting back to Archie Archuleta, but I've raised this issue before.

I'm sure that it was different many decades ago, but in today's world of sports, the people who pick out the starting rosters are color blind. It's all about, "Who can play".
Nobody's going to start an inferior player at any position for the sake of racial diversity, or political correctness because too many careers and too much money hang in the balance. That is as it should be.
If a Chinese midget gives the team it's best chance to win, you can bet your life he'll be playing.
I can't believe no one has brought this up, but there should've been an extra minute on the play clock! After Gould put the Bears ahead 12-9, there was 10:21 left on the play clock, then for some reason after the commercial break we saw the officials meeting for about 3 minutes, they first added a minute to the game clock and then said they went the wrong way and should have subtracted a minute on the game clock making it read 9:21. I thought it was odd that the game clock would have been off exactly 1 minute after a stoppage of play so I rewound the game (DVR's are great) only to see that there was 10:21 left to play after Gould made the kick. At first I thought it was the Bears who were disadvantaged by this, but in the end it was the Eagles who could've used that extra minute.
Maybe it’s just me, but on run plays the O-line bunches up where Benson is going to run meaning they don’t leave any gaps where Benson can get though…… 9 out of 10 times Benson runs into them and take a loss or 1-2 yard gain.
Ok guys, I have a confession to make. It's difficult, because after my many posts bashing Brian Griese.......well, here goes: I picked him up off the waiver wire on Tuesday last week, and he's currently sitting on my bench with 20 fantasy points. Of course, no one would ever start him instead of Tony Romo, but if I had, my game would be over - victory. Now I need 6 from Dallas Clark tonight. Hi, my name is Julie, and I own Brian Griese.
4 field goals considering starting field position is weak, but at that time Griese's head set was working. After watching Griese run an almost flawless 2 minute drill without benefit of a time out and calling his own game it made me think when was the last time a Bears QB made an audible call at the line? Should Griese be making his own calls in the red zone? How many of those field goals would have been TD's had Griese been calling his own plays at that end of the field? Has the ability to call an audible been taken away from the Bears QB? Was Griese's head set malfunction something a tech did in an attempt to sabotage a Bears drive? If so it backfired, or did Griese just feign a malfunction in favor of confidence in his own ability to run the 2 minute drill and lack of confidence in Ron Turner? Regardless of the truth of the situation Griese proved to be equal to the task. Maybe it's time they let hm call his own game and use the still shots and Turner to simply analyze the soft spots in the defense for him. Obviously he can't call a wose game than Turner.
All I can say is thank God we were playing the Eagles. They are horrible inside the 20.
For all you "Donovan McNabb for Bears quarterback" fans, uhhhh, time to re-think that one. What was it... something like 10 wide open receivers he overthrew?
Watched the Steelers vs. the Broncos Sunday night. Both teams would make mincemeat out of our defense.
That said, we are only chasing the Packers and the Lions. We have an outside (okay, less than outside) chance of catching them, but with this team, we probably will make an early exit from any playoffs.
One last thing, good to see David Haugh (primary reporter for the Tribune's Bears coverage) finally focused on the lack of chemistry on the Bears team. That's only been a theme on this blog for several weeks. I'm proud to know that the Trib's primary Bears reporter is so on top of the team.
Okay, one more one last thing: Fire Ron Turner now.
You know Roman, it's bad enough we have supposed mature adults using the blog to smashmouth each other like fourth graders, but when they have no true knowledge of the game they should be focusing their writings on, I'm beginning to see the false light.
For all the Bernard Berrian bashers on the McKie catch (including the knucklehead announcer who got all your juices flowing), after a receiver hits his spot on the pass pattern he cannot lean or block a defender DURING the play past the line of scrimmage; that is called OFFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE. I'm sure Bernard is taught, and wisely so on the FIVE yard line, get in the linebackers path and if he should go around try to discretely drop the shoulder to slow him down. Why take a chance on second and goal at the five on a play that may set you back another ten. Granted he stopped at a bad angle, but the decision to not block or lean too far was the correct one. Watch the positioning of his arms and you could see it was supposed to be a PICK, not a BLOCK.
Archuleta needs a little more time and a complete bill of health before I judge him. No Mike Brown but he played well.
Still no push from the 'O' line, but then again, I wasn't expecting one.
Wonder how many running plays Turner would have called on that last drive?
Just wondering.
Did you know Griese didn't have helmet communication on the last drive with Ron Turner and had to call his own plays?
No wonder they won!
Roman responds: The one play Turner called was the touchdown.
Bogey, thats cold. Fencik was a baller and Plank had heart and a killer instinct. A.A. is hurt, or just bad like Grossman. He is a weakness that is sticking out. I know we have to have someone better than that on the squad. I don't care what color you are, a weak link in the chain has to be dealt with.
GUNS, your post doesnt make any sense...you started to form a thought and then you changed topics mid stream.
Also...I am going to start a chart....
How many posters who envoke "Romans" name in their post and get NO response from him.
So far...Keith leads the list.....and Guns is second with JB in a fight for third. JB does get her share of responses, but thats only because she posts more than I do.
Keep smootchin though...it may eventually work!
Julie, you are a smart girl! Tim...great post! That was FOOTBALL people! And good football by two good teams. I thought both teams answered the bell. Their defense held and so did ours. The Bears are a team designed to hurt you in multiple ways - defense, return game, kicking, and now - Offense. Eagles did ALL they could to stop the balanced attack of the Bears. They surrendered great field and challenged our offense and Griese did his part - he made them pay. I know we got a lot of field goals, but those are key in those kinds of games. Its going to get cold and a lot of these high flying acts are going to be grounded real soon - watch! Games are going to be won with tough running and smashmouth defense. I am hoping that is when Mr. Benson shows up. And at that time, Griese's game is going to be more valuable than ever and Mr. Gould is going to be called on even more. Last year we got by with that schedule, and some GREAT defense. This year we are showing more balance. To me...it seems to be coming together.
Roman responds: Great football? Please. It was average football played by two average teams. The Bears can't run. The Eagles can't score.
good job Brian Griese....nice to see AP in the back field more and more...especially in the crucial situations....now, leave him in the damn game
Our TE's and WR's are probably going to have a huge second half with AP at RB....notice how the offense goes when AP is in the game
Ced's the only dud left...2.nothing ypc...what?...LOL, is that setting up the play action with AP?
The defense needs to get healthy and back on track by Seattle...
My hats off to Trumain McBride
well said Mr. Navarro.
Yeah Roman, I'm back. Just decided to see what your impression of Griese's game was last night. I should have waited for your 'grading' in the paper today.
He gets a B? I guess he would have to put together a perfect game, as Brady did yesterday to receive an A from you.
Trouble is:Griese has played a whole sum total of 4 games with every player on that team, except Clark, who he last played a game with in 2001. At most, Brady only averages a couple of new players a year, for his last 6 years, ON THE SAME TEAM.
Griese does not have a Randy Moss, or a Wes Welker, 1st and 13th in the league in yards respectively. BB is 19th. Desmond Clark is 44th.
Griese's Rushing game is ranked 30th in the league. Brady's is 7th.
With Brady's superior Teammates, he is averaging >32.7
Griese is averaging >40.75
Wow, a whole 3.2 yards a game less that Randy Moss.... I mean Tom Brady.
But then poor old Brady doesn't have a Ron Turner calling his plays either. Poor guy. (Where is the blue when you need it?)
I know what you have to do Brian.
Heave the ball downfield, regardless of whether anyone is open or not.
Or, start playing Receiver, TE, and RB, PLUS being QB and OC, because this is not really a team game. While you are at it, try to do a little more on the Defensive side of the ball. ie. The Lion's and Viking's games.
Finally, never make a mistake in a game because Brady, Favre, Manning, etc., have NEVER made a mistake in all their years of playing with the same team.
Roman responds: Wow. I hope for some God-unknown reason, you get more riled up about Brian Griese than any other subject in the universe, because I would hate to see how high your blood pressure gets when you really care.
I just think for the field position he had all day with only field goals to show for it, and the fact he took points off the board by fumbling the snap at the goal line, he didn't deserve an A. I'm sorry. I really am.
Actually, I think Ron Turner called the last two plays of the game.
On the Bears last play, he called for a run, but Griese ignored him and threw of pass to Muhammed.
On the very last play of the game, when McNabb needed to throw a Hail Mary pass in the end zone, I am guessing that Turner's feed must have inadvertently came over McNabb's helmet radio.
I mean who else would throw a 10-yard pass with fewer than 10 seconds left in the game and the ball on your own 40?
Yep, none other than Ronnie T.
Roman - I said good teams. There are only 2 great teams in the whole NFL; Patriots and Colts. Everyone else is just good or bad, and I think the new and improved Bears are going to hold their ground with all the rest. These teams like the Vikings and Lions are escaping because our DEFENSE has injuries. When we get Vasher back - watch the Bears take these jokers to the shed.
Rebecka - Justice is served! Great stuff today. Griese is balling. If he gets the help Rex got from the D last year, we go and WIN the SB.
Rebecka. Quit while you're ahead....you don't have to make excuses for his 'not being perfect'. The fact that you pay attention to how many new players Tom Brady has to play with vs. Brian makes me wonder just how far your obsession with him has gone. You know he has kind of a funny posture...and walks wierd. Hope that thought keeps you off the crazy train.
Kind of amusing if you really think about it.

BEARS WIN, BEARS WIN-----BEARS WIN, BEARS WIN.....WITH a drive at the END OF THE GAME, no less!
I had to get that out before responding to Bogey.
Bogey, you must be a Cubs Fan?
Stop fishing for a good fight and enjoy the win! Okay?
I WILL ADMIT WE HAVE HAD HEATED DEBATES ABOUT RACIAL IDEOLOGIES OF BALLPLAYERS, but Bogey, you are trying to go deep sea fishing in the Pacific Ocean with a Tom Sawyer bamboo pool and it ain't working, man.
ENJOY THE DAMN WIN!! Don't you know Julie B got a thing for Archuleta?
Julie sez: "Hi, my name is Julie, and I own Brian Griese."
Ya know ... there's a twelve step program for that.
Roman sez: "The one play Turner called was the touchdown."
You're being facetious, right?
Even Turner is smart enough (barely)to run every receiver into the end zone with 15 seconds on the clock, and no time outs.
If he had called any other play, he might as well have tendered his resignation in the post game locker room.
There's nothing wrong with this team that a change of coaching staffs can't fix.
Keith sez: "Great stuff today. Griese is balling. If he gets the help Rex got from the D last year, we go and WIN the SB."
That must be some REALLY "great stuff" you're smoking there, Keith.
Keith did only say "good football by two good team"..he never said "Great"...
someone added a little spice!
AUTHENTIC jersey. Sewn letters and everything. The guy had a great sense of humor, too.
""Roman responds: Wow. I hope for some God-unknown reason, you get more riled up about Brian Griese than any other subject in the universe, because I would hate to see how high your blood pressure gets when you really care.

That was uncalled for Roman. I get 'riled up' about a lot of things. Brian Griese just happens to be the topic on this blog...
I'm 73 years old, so this is not a schoolgirl crush.
Trouble is, some of you just credit the QB with everything that goes wrong. Your heros are guys that have every advantage in THEIR game. Brady, Manning, etc. Receivers, Running game, AND Coaches. Not to mention several 'years' to gain confidence in each.
Go back and watch the GB game. The camera pans to the sideline where Griese is having a discussion with Pep, Pep shakes his head, Griese turns and walks away, a look of obvious frustration on his face. (Maybe they were only getting FGs because of something other than the play of their QB???)
Once again, (You are welcome to check this out) on Sept. 15, 2002 the Broncos were playing @ SF.
When they came back from halftime, the score was 7-'3' in favor of SF. In other words, the Broncos had ONE FG in the entire 1st half.
When they started the 3rd quarter, they learned their communications were screwed up.
Shanahan first tried running the RBs, alternately, in and out with the Plays. He finally gave up and let Griese call his own plays.
Griese had 2 TDs, Gary one, in about a quarter and 1/2. Shanahan and Kubiak actually admitted the whole thing and got a good laugh out of the radio ..er...failure.
So that leaves the dropped snap. Wow!
One guy said, " In the grand scheme of things, who called what when is immaterial. The Bears worked feverishly to try to find a similar drive in recent team history and went back nearly two decades with NOTHING to match it Monday night." Another guy called it an Elway type Drive.
I guess I can see why you put so much importance on a dropped snap, 'which HE recovered.'
Well, not really.
Roman responds: Ok, Rebecka, I thought you were just some young know-it-all like Julie. Sorry.
But what does "so much importance" mean? Yeah, it could have been a big play. Instead of a touchdown, they settled for a field goal and trailed 9-6 instead of leading 10-9. That's not a big play? And he should have recovered it.
Awww, c'mon Roman, I'm more than "just some young know-it-all," aren't, I? I mean, you're right about the young part (I'm a full me and then some younger than Rebecka!), but the rest of it wasn't very nice. Ok, I'll stop correcting Culzie on all of his spelling/grammar/Breakfast Club quote mistakes.
And wait, wait - I'm 2 whole me's and then some younger than Rebecka! In case you were all wondering.
Roman responds: Nobody's wondering. And that "then some" ain't much.
Geez, Roman -did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today or something? Sounds like you need to take a deep breath (inhale, preferably) and re-laaaaaaaaaxxxxx.......
Can you guys leave me out of this one.
I am actually a bit humbled by RJ's age disclosure.
I should mind my manners a bit more in here!
;)
Ok, fine- I'll continue to correct your plethora of mistakes.
DAAAAAMMMNNNN!! Miss Justice is 73!! I always thought you were 22 with zits, a mouth full of braces, bib overalls and no dates. Ma'am, I'm so sorry that these young whipper-snappers needed to be turned over on your knee by their responses to your Griese stats. See, we have a tendency to not give respect when it's due. For now on you get my undivided attention and respect. 73 and can tell us a few things or two. You've forgotten more than a lot of us will ever know.
2 things.
yes, in today's NFL it's all about who can play... it can be Chinese midgets if they get the job done.
which begs the return of the question - how many white guys play in today's NFL secondaries? how many Chinese midgets? how many purple Martians? etc etc etc
I kind of see a pattern. Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions. Hahahahaha.
and to all the rabid Bear Kool Aid drinkers.
Get this thru your heads - the Colts were a clearly superior team in February. Griese or not.
I don't want "lucky" victories.
btw Darryl.
in your little rundown of black QB's.
The only QB on that list that has gotten unfairly savaged is Donovan McNabb - and that's mostly because he plays in Philly - where they'd boo their mother if the team was losing.
idiot Limbaugh aside, fact is black QB's don't get criticized more than white QB's at all, and I challenge you to name me anyone who has gotten savaged more than Rex Grossman.
or Chad Pennington. (btw I'd love to see a black athlete one day named "Chad Pennington", that would be funnier than hell, actually just "Chad" anything.. hahahaah
Leftwich got criticized for being a fat ass and playing/looking "lazy". His successor, who is also black never gets criticized for those things. Everyone loved Vick until his little dog fighting incident. Well, we all knew he was a shitty passer, and that's what he got criticized for, but there has never been an athlete like him at the QB position.
most black QB's in the league these days... especially the younger ones, like Jason Campbell and Vince Young get PROPS.
What about McNair too....what a Bummm....how does that guy still have a job?
Ive never seen a QB get a carte Blanche pass like McNair does...ever!!
