NO - my team (Sox) are a combo of triple A and veterans who got old REAL quick. I get tired of those Konerko ground outs the third and short, and Makowiak's grounders to second.
Why get exicited over a game with another triple A team.

I think it matters.....but just barely this year. Honestly I don't care who the Sox beat, I just need them to beat someone. If they take 2-3 or sweep the Cubs it will be icing on the cake, but my gawd we need wins first and foremost.

It's really not the same this year after the White Sox won it all in 05. I use to look forward to this series every year since it started but now I just lost all hope for the White Sox this year. Don't get me wrong I would love to see the White Sox pound on the cubs but you're right and it really lost it's oomph. I'm looking forward to the NBA draft more than anything the White Sox have going on. I wish they would already start the fire sale on the South Side so we can see what we are going to have next year.

Like Bum fights! Will have more meaning for the Southside since there is nothing else to fight for. Go Sox!

I think it would be more fun if they lined up all the cubs and sox players on the baseline and then let ozzie and lou chose up sides, play out the rest of the season with these new rosters. Can't hurt anything at this point and would make the rest of the season more interesting.

Both clubs are underachievers. I'm unusual because I follow both clubs. One club is a mix of veterans having bad years ,players like Uribe,Mackowiak etc, who should be out of baseball are playing so bad .PLus the rest are minor leaguers not ready or never will for mlb. The other a huge payroll of guys who put it together maybe ever three games or so that can't win close games. Jacque Jones to white sox? Just what sox need another .230 hitter.

Hey Clem, I wanted to post that same thing about Lou and Ozzie! Maybe Lou and Ozzie in a "yo mama battle"? Truth be told, we need to blow up both stadiums and merge both teams and let them play at Soldier's Field. And have someone redecorate! Hate the space ship. Make it a Roman Collusieum with a retractable roof. Sorry to go off like this, but its more interesting than watching the Sox get swept. Would be interesting to form an amalgamated squad.

It seems like some of the other match ups have more star power this year and who knew the Sox would stink this year!

The Cubs are not finished. We have the pitching and the hitting. We just need to gel. We may make an Astros-like 2nd half run, but we'll most likely be a very dangerous baseball club next year. I'll still root for my team until the bitter end though.

Keith-stay on the southside. You're a couple years late on the "space ship" (it's a compound word) complaints. Maybe you've never actually been inside "Soldier's Field" (it's Soldier Field), but it's a gem. However, you are right about the Sox getting swept...
