Sweep? Bulls look unstoppable

| | Comments (11)

Props to Anthony Navarro and Jason for predicting before the playoffs started that the Bulls were going to sweep the Heat. It hasn't happened yet, but bouncing back on the road like that in the fourth quarter is huge.

I didn't expect this. I wonder how the Pistons are feeling.

go bulls!! always knew they had more than average talent.actually they really could win it all.

The Pistons have to be concerned. The Bulls are growing up before our eyes just like the '91 bulls did. They are also arguably playing the best team ball in the NBA right now. When that offense is clicking, its beautiful to watch.

after the Bulls had lost the final regular season game to the Nets I said that maybe it was a good thing to face Miami in the first round because it gives the Bulls a chance to avenge last years loss and would legitimize them as a contender to reach the conference finals going through Miami and Detroit. maybe now this team AND their coach will begin to get the respect they deserve. even with what is shaping up to be the major upset of the play-offs out west with the Warriors taking a 2-1 lead over the Mav's, the Bulls going up 3-0 on the defending champs is the big story right now.

Roman I would imagine the Pistons are feeling a bit uneasy right now knowing they lost 3 of 4 to the Bulls in the regular season. but what I'd like to know is how all those that predicted Miami to return to the finals are feeling and just what they are thinking now.

closing out the series in Miami on Sunday isn't going to be easy. Miami is a cornered, wounded animal and will come out with whatever they have left in them to try to extend to game 5 and the Bulls will need to run their tank dry early and not come in with the attitude that they took one on the road and can close it out at home. with blood in the water it's time for the sharks to close in for the kill.

I have 2 give the Bulls credit. I did NOT think they had it in them. Great job.

Wow, I knew the Bulls had a number of great shooters, were a extremely quick team, had an excellent coach with a goooood system, but sweep the Heat!!!! They so far have put it together for more than one game, but it is hard to say for a whole series..... I really think we have to look to Ben Wallace and PJ for the great leadership on the floor and their attitudes for putting proper perspective on handling game decisions. Paxson and Skiles should be commented and pleased for molding this team. I think if they can keep it together, and beat Detroit, we are better than any Western team because they are not as focused as East Teams, and win it all.
One additional comment, how would Kobe or Wade look in this System?

This is not the same Bulls team from '05 and '06. This is a different Bulls team. They're motivated, hungry, and just like Roman said, they look unstoppable. You don't see them chumps like Tim Legler (who's Tim Legler?? what did he do in the NBA again?) and Greg Anthony (I remember him, he played for UNLV right?) talkin trash and jocking Miami now that it's Bulls 3-0. Let's finish putting the nail in the coffin and bringing out the shovles for Miami and then bring on the rest of the Eastern Conference.

and Roman, tell Greg Couch that the Bulls did not peak too soon.

Okay guys, lets not get too excited here. Remember the Da Bears a few months ago?...I will admit I am surprise to see the Bulls up 3-0, but I am not going to claim championship status on this team yet. Let's enjoy the ride and root for the team. We all know some of us make wild predictions and they come true some times Roman. When you stated Bulls in seven that was not unrealistic.

I will simply root for the home team without getting my hopes way up. Go Bulls. Win again and only three people in Chicago will have won five dollars apiece...*smile* ...Go Bulls

It burned me up in 05' when every, and I mean EVERY, expert in the U.S. of A. had Boston puttin' a hurtin' on the No-Chance White Sox. First round! No chance! Well here we are again. Miami was awesome last year, no bout adout it, but they go as Wade goes. The Mov-A-Bulls play well against older slower teams (Miami, Detroit, Dallas, S.A.). It's the younger athletic teams that matched up better, and given the Bulls lust for offering up turnovers at an alarming rate and their so-so free throw shooting, they lost a few games they should have won this season. The focus factor has now come into play. Take away the Black-Hole segment in the second quarter of the last game (bounce passes gentlemen, PLEASE) and It's no contest. Cleveland/N.J./Toronto is shaping up to be the Bulls biggest hurdle. No disrespect to Detroit. NOT!

The Bulls looked awesome. Have to give credit to John Paxon and Scott Skiles for building this team from the mediocre levels they were at. I thought Wade gave up on the game right around the last two minutes and just made some lazy passes. Maybe he cares more about being in Charles Barkley's T-Mobile favorites?

I ALSO, predicted the Bulls would sweep. Bulls have a great team, that is why I am so hard on Pax and Skiles. Bulls are there, just a few finishing touches and we can return to the TOP.

Bulls now have to beat the toughest team in the playoffs in my opinion. But it won't be as easy as Miami who were simply just too old and satified having come off a championship. Pistons are renewed and this is going to be an intense series. Because I believe we will finally be exposed I have to say Pistons in 7. And I am being generous. Pistons match up well against us and can play to our defensive intensity.

I WANT THE BULLS TO WIN FELLAS, and hope they survive. I would rather endure your scathing rebukes! If they beat the Pistons, the championship is theirs for the taking.

Roman responds: Keith, c'mon, if they beat the PIstons they may have to beat a New Jersey team that's given them problems. And if they get to the Finals, I think the Spurs will waiting. Tough road, but they look good.

It all comes down to DEFENSE, and the EAST has always had the best defense in the league. The Pistons have the best Defense in the East. They beat the Pistons, there will be no stopping them. Beating NJ will be difficult, but after beating up on the apple-dumpling gang, the Bulls should have no problem with anyone else.
