Cowboys.
Already beat the other two.
I would have to say the Giants because they have McQuarters. He sucks so bad we should be able to burn him 5-6 times. Beating Dallas would be more fun because I hate them. But I'm afraid we won't be able to beat them so I hope Seattle beats them in case the Eagles win. We stand a better chance of beating Seattle because they are not as explosive.
I think the easy answer is seattle. They are down to the 3rd string db's and hasselback has had a horrible year even despite the injury.Does anybody want to see tiki or the two headed rb's of dallas.I know alexander WAS the mvp but he is a soft back who would get beat up against our line and lb's.The o-line of seattle is horrendous and that should give our d-line a great day ,giving them a huge confidence booster into the next game.
It doesn't matter. We'll lose to any of the three.
I'd say Giants. Backed into the playoffs. Take away Tiki and Eli is as soft as cheese cake(pun intended) . Seattle is tame with no intensity. Romo is probably gonna get worse outside his dome where he hasn't been great anyway. I think we match up well with either team. Here,it's gonna come down to A solid running game and a D that is able to take advantage of mistakes. Don't count our D out.
If I was able to be there I could identify and fix the problems. All I can do is speculate but there are only a few possibilities. If the coaching is the problem then we need new coaches. If Rex is the problem then he needs good coaching. If he's getting good coaching but does not follow instructions he should be replaced as the starter. If he's getting poor coaching then we need new coaches. If other players are contributing to the problem that needs to be addressed. If it is not then we need new coaches. When there is a problem the coaches have the responsibility to fix them and that includes changing players. If they can't then we need new coaches. I still believe in Rex. I think the coaching is so bad they have messed things up. I base this on what I see. If the coaching really is good then they are doing one heck of a job of hiding it. They should consider careers that need that type of attribute.
I just hope the bears can beat anybody. They play awful on national TV.
Dallas!!!! i want to beat them so bad. i hate them
I've given Rex the benefit of the doubt for too long. I still remember how Ron Turner had a great O in 95. We had 2 WRs ans A RB go over 1,000 yards in 95 because of this O. We didn't even have a TE like we have with this O and who's fault is it that Rex is stinking up the joint? Maybe Rex is a gunslinger because he can't operate in a designed O. There is more evidence of that than his coaches not being able to coach. He alone is having these bad games. They simplify this O too many times and then he comes out and say he wasn't prepared mentally to play against the Packers. Ask Curtis Conway, Jeff Graham, Erik Kramer and the Ultra back if Turner can coach and if they say he can't then fire him. They wouldn't say it because he made them look better in 95 then they ever looked again. They reaped rewards from playing in R.T.'s O. Rex is the problem. He's his own worst enemy. I'll back him but he has to not let the fans down. GO BEARS!!!
After Rex Grossman comes back from his mental vacation in McNownland, the Bears will likely face Seattle with Shaun Alexander this time around. Ideally, the Giants would be the best team to play with all their injuries and bad play calling. But, Christmas has come and gone. And, the Eagles are rolling and are the most dangerous team in the NFC right now. Plus, they'll make things rough on the Saints.
Seattle is having problems in their secondary and can be run on up front which plays into the Bears hands if they play a nickel-dime, ball-controlling offense. A big "IF" with the amount of dead-air going through Rex's ears these days. The game will be close, but, the Bears should be able to advance to meet a mutil-faceted Saints team in the NFC Championship game.
Hopefully, all the NFC teams wil beat up on each other and leave a fragile Saints team for the Bears to stomp on at a loud Soldier Field. And, leave Sean Payton dreaming of the days when Ditka would yell at him when he was a Spare-Bear.
And, then there's the Super Bowl against an AFC opponent. Ouch!!
I'd say the Giants (totally agree BBB, mcquarters sucks), but they won't make it past the wildcard round... so it would have to be the seahawks... Just scares me a though, they did handle them easily early this year, but as we all know, the bears are a different team now. AND doesn't playing the seahawks feel like a deja vu from last year... they handled carolina in regular season, then lost to them in playoffs... Yikes.
With that said though, there D is hurting, and hassellbeck and no TD alexander aren't the same as last year...
FYI: QBs Wonderlich scores
Terry Bradshaw 15
Brett Favre 22

Back in August,I predicted that the Bears and Colts would be in the Super Bowl and still think so.Both have faltered a bit, but still are up there. I also predicted that the Colts would beat the Bears, but now I have my doubts. The Colts' run defense is incredibly bad, and maybe Jonesy and Benson can protect the Bears from Rex and Peyton.
Please give Kyle Orton the opportunity he didn't get in the last playoff game. At least the media & fans are NOT calling for him to be bench.
Come on, the guy manage the team last year about as well as this jerk we got playing the position now. The only difference is we got excited seeing 30 points or more being scored by the offense. For some reason Bear fans hate or dislike Griese. His feelings are probably the same about fans. It is NOT like he put the team in this mess.
Give me 17 to 21 points and I bet the defense will play better! HECK they would have to, don't you think?
oh oh, here come the boos and criticism...Ha Ha
Anyway GO BEARS!!
BTW week after next we will be whining about the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks...*smile*
hey Roman, what do you consider malicious?
if the message I was trying to post is in queue, I guess it can be deleted?
It doesn't matter. Bears are 0ne & done
Well it's down to either Seattle or N.Y. now. Dallas is out, boo hoo! They deserve it. I only watched a few minutes but the end was very entertaining. Just considering the last part of the 4th qtr. that was an ugly win. The only reason I mention that is as a follow up to a question someone had a while back. But in the playoffs all wins are great. Dallas has lucked out so many times I have no sympathy for them at all. Seattle has had more bad luck than good so I like seeing it go their way here. Both of these teams have 2 advantages over the Bears if they come to Chicago. The Bears beat both of them and the revenge factor is very real and they would have a fresh playoff victory under their belts. Something the Bears can only dream about at this point. Which Bears team shows up? The one that plays like they should or the one that plays like a combination pansy/dumba$$. I say it's 60/40 the p/d team. What should it be? The 90/10 good team. Why is there such a disparity? Take a guess.
If I had a choice I would say the giants would be a favorable matchup for the bears. The giants have not been playing good lately giving up an average of over 395+ yds in the last few games this should give grossman ample oppurtunity to make some big plays. The defense should be able to rattle manning into making some mistakes. The X factor has to be hester who can break it on any given play plus the giants coverage team is pretty lame. A big factor, and maybe the most important one, is the fact the giants as a team are in disarray. They hate the coach, argue with each other, and blame each other for thier losing streak. Any time a team is not on the same page with each other, especially in the playoffs, they are in trouble. Don't forget what happened in 85' when the bears first playoff game was against the giants. It was The beginning of THE single greatest moment in bears history. Warm up the old vocal cords and get ready cause "Were not here to start no trouble were just here to do the superbowl shuffle....
It'll be the Seahawks we now know. Alexander looks like he's running in quicksand.
Does it really matter? If they play like they have been the second half of the season Ohio State would beat them handily
We don't know anything now...The Giants/Eagles game hasn't been played.
I wrote that just to see if the system was working. It wasn't working for some time and I wouldn't find out until I wrote one of my patented long blog. I still have no faith that the Giants will pull it out. They are decimated. If we played Seattle it wouldn't be so hard because they have no running game. Alexander is slower than Jones . He runs with no authority. They got lucky at home against a team that wasn't suppose to lose. Romo was so down that he went to the locker room and turned his back to everyone and wouldn't respond to anyone. They better put him on suicide watch. No joke. That guy was really broken up. I hope he doesn't pull a Donnie Moore. GO BEARS!!!
After the way the season has gone why do so many people have more faith in Rex than they have in the coaches? Rex ,alone is playing like he has. Up and down and upside down. The coaches bend over for him but he isn't getting it done. Some people's job is to blame it all on coaching but there comes a time when you have a guy that can't be coached no matter how hard you try. That's why so many people bring up Cade Mcnotever. He wasn't physically hurt to be out of the league. He just couldn't be coached. Who else took up the chance to fix him if it was possible. the league give plenty of guys opportunities. They can drag that old decrepit Testeverde out of the mothballs once a year, why not Cade? HE .. COULD.. NOT.. BE...COACHED. Stop blaming coaching for Rex. Blame the realistic fact that he is just out of his realm. I don't know why. Maybe it's the Florida thing. I don't know. But he has to put up or shut up. Fire yourself for believing a nut case over everyone else. How can some of you say you know the NFL and coaching when you have SO much faith in Rex. Even his stauchest backers have wavering faith in him. Why is he beyond critism when he is the main culprit for the lack of faith everyone has in this team. The main reason some people think our coaches are lousy is because they have blind-faith in him. Why not reward that faith with better preparation and butt-kicking results. We can't answer that question. Only Rex can. GO BEARS!!!
Giants proved that no matter how many times you play someone the better team always win. What game this past weekend didn't turn out the way you expected? Home teams ruled even if they needed luck to pull it out. As bad as Seattle played it shouldn't have come down to a FG for Dallas to pull it out. That shows that Dallas just wasn't suited to put anyone away when it mattered. Look at all the faith some of you guys had in them. GO BEARS!!!
Here I'll say it, REX has never had to earn his starting position! It's just like a spoiled kid and he knows it!His comments after the GB game only prove he has nothing to worry about, and what did Lovie say about his spoiled child,NOTHING.
Angelo is the person to blame or praise when it comes to the response of the team in regard to Rex. G.M.s always want their pet project front and center. If the project fail-he fails. Lovie and Turner just has to work with whomever Angelo picks up. If he wanted Griese in the BEARS would play Griese. Angelo is still the boss when it comes to playing decisions. Yeah, Lovie is a talking head when it comes to questions. And that's why he never commit to anything. That's the new thing. You can talk but don't say much. No one could say what a coach felt until Phil Jackson wrote his book and broke the sacred rule to never down people you work with. He didn't expect to coach again so he went all out. No one will make the mistake of having to eat crow. I learned a moto this weekend from Thomas Jones that I'll use now and again:Don't give them the stick to beat you with. PROFOUND. That's why you don't talk too much and you take the blame even when it's not your fault. People admire you more. I'm sure in film sessions they see who is screwing up. I'll take closed doors over letting it out the bag. GO BEARS!!!
If thats the case then we don't need Lovie do we? I would rather see a little more fire out of Lovie, not just a paper tiger standing there saying, "REX IS ARE QUATERBACK" over and over.Jimmy Mac once said NO GUTS NO GLORY!Come on Lovie go for it,buck the system a little and show us your not what we think you are? Whats his plan as the head coach, rex is are quaterback?
The last thing we need is a coach losing his mind on the sideline. Tom Landry was a great coach and how many times did he lose his mind over a play? There's a reason you don't fly off the handle or show a lot of emotion these days. It doesn't make a bit of difference. If he went off Rex would be even worse. Ditka was good for a while but all that barking lost the bite and those guys quit on him. Times have changed. Players come and go and have no loyalty except for whoever is signing their paychecks. Coaches who can't conform can't line up their next job if they know you're gonna act like an idiot. There have been a lot of coaches who were rah rah types and all it got them was canned. Look at Gruden, with that Chucky stuff. It was funny while they were winning, now it's a joke. Nowadays, the star of the team could get the coach fired if he made him mad. Urlacher is our best player but when he blow a tackle how would that go over, his coach snapping at him? When Brady ran right past him he could've gotten an earful. If he had gone off on B-lach you guys would've said "why did he do that .It happens, you can't be perfect." These guys will play and quit when they so desire. The Giant's coach show all the emotions in the world. When they fire him it'll be because he lost his players. This will be his last job. He's gonna be remembered as the guy that ran Tiki off and had his team quit on him. Times have changed and some of you haven't realized that. GO BEARS!!!
