Pat Riley accused Kirk Hinrich of dirty tactics that led to Dwyane Wade's injured hand. Considering Riley doesn't criticize James Posey, who's considered one of the dirtiest players in the league, does he have room to talk?

No Pat Riley doesn't have room to talk. Pat has a history of having goons on his team. Back in the Bulls Championship days, he had John Starks, Anthony Mason, and Charles Oakley. Now he has Posey. I didn't see anything wrong with the how Kirk defended that play against Wade. It was an accident. Posey clothlining someone driving to the basket is no accident.
Here's what I have to say to Pat Riley and his teaching of the "pick and trip" also known as the "pick and throw down"...Pffffffttttt...The Hinrich/Wade play happens all the time and is not done on purpose...Posey's play was an obvious intent to injure...This is one reason I have stopped following basketball...It's a bunch of uneducated gangster thugs who don't respect the game or the fans that pay their salaries...They ought to make the rim 11 feet...Maybe that would humble these thugs out.
Kirk Hinrich has played
dirty against Dwayne Wade
throughout their careers.
His toughness would not
be able to stop a superstar
like Wade who is equally
tough. This was evident
troughout last years
playoffs. Wade would make
Hinrich look worse than
the mediocre player that
he is if Henrich didn't
resort to very ugly play.
Pat Riley is simply a moron. Posey's foul blatant and intentional, Kirk's contact was incidental and part of the game, plain and simple.
Posey should be suspended, and Kirk should get kudos for playing solid, sound basketball.
Pat Riley should shut his hole.
I don't think kirk tried to hurt anybody even if he DID grab wade's wrist. You gotta do what you gotta do to play against that guy and captain k did it within the boundaries of the game. Now on the other hand posey did that mess with intent and thats the difference is between the two.
What! Is he actually serious? First off, I have to say this, and it kills me TO say this, but Pat Riley is a great basketball coach.
Nevertheless, isn’t he being a gigantic hypocrite? I watched the play over and over again, and saw no wrong doing on Kirk’s behalf. It appeared he was just playing tough “D. Stop crying over it Pat! It’s Dwayne Wade, and the man is simply great! You have to play tough D on him or he’ll make you pay.
As for James “Bum Posey, this is the third time he’s been called for a flagrant foul against the Bulls and his second suspension as a result of it. All three fouls were blatantly intentionally and nothing the NBA of “today will let him get away with. For Pat Riley not to acknowledge his player “in the wrong, and blame Kirk for playing dirty is completely inexcusable! I understand trying to protect your guys, but I haven’t heard a word out of Dwayne Wade’s mouth blaming Kirk for his injury or any other members of the Heat. I say fix your problems “in house and stop complaining. Last time I checked James “Bum Posey is the one with the suspensions! Go back to Miami!
Is this the same Pat Riley that employed the hack & attack style of basketball with the knicks during the mid-nineties? The same Pat Riley that un-leashed the thug Xavier Mcdaniel against Pippen time after time during playoff runs in the nineties. Pat Riley, unlike Phil Jackson, was succesful because of he talent around him.
Pat Riley = Most over-rated coach in NBA history.
Pat Riley needs to talk to Posey about HIS ugly plays and shut up.
Why hasn't Rat Riley commented on James Posey's dirty play?
If Kirk Hinrich is a dirty player what does that make James Posey?
In Riley's case, winning has always justified wining.
I think he realizes that the Bulls are a better team than his when Shaq is out and a way to level the field a bit is to dirty the game up.
Riley may be a first-class winer, but he's going to do whatever he can to win a game. And Posey is a piece of that strategy.
Who care's...How does the Curry trade look now?
