Sometimes this business is embarrassing

The media's attempt to try to figure out who's telling the truth in the Isiah Thomas sexual harrassment case is somewhat nauseating.

His friends say there's no way he harrassed the woman. They point to his poor upbringing and determination to become a Hall of Fame player. They say the woman, who was Northwestern's all-time greatest basketball player, is vengeful and out for money.

Her friends swear by her character, vouching for her integrity and honesty. They say he made improper advances and fired her when she resisted.

I read one writer imply that Isiah's smile is deceptive, as if that has anything to do with this case.

Very few people know the truth about this case, and I can guarantee you nobody with a by-line knows for sure.

It's similar to what happened after Antonio Davis rushed into the United Center stands to defend his wife. The media plays the perception game. One perception was that Davis' wife, because of some controversial episodes in her past, instigated the confrontation.

It's about agendas.

I guess it makes for somewhat compelling reading. I know it's all part of the game. I just find it distasteful sometimes.

Isiah has everything in the world (championship ring, money, and in charge of Knicks) why the hell would he risk all that for a woman that looks like someone Isiah could get before he became a star. to me, as well as my GF, she's pissed off and simply trying to bring Isiah down. isiah has never been linked to this type of behavior before.

WITH ALL THE REAL PROBLEMS FACING US AT THIS PRESENT TIME. THE WAR, WIRE TAPS..ETC//WHO CARES???? OR IF YOU DO YOUR VALUES SHOULD BE WHAT IS IN QUESTION.......

Please.....If its to embarassing then do the noble thing and leave this messy, dishonorable business to those who are made for it(Marriotti?)As for Kevin, your only excuse would be that your twelve and therefore uninformed when it comes to Mr. Thomas. He has been linked to every sort of dispicable behavior imaginable. Perhaps he's even invented some poor behavioral traits. Haven't any of us learned that an 'almighty ring', money, and a sought after position have no bearing on the behavior of an individual. The part about her being someone 'Isiah could get' before becoming a star is priceless. And aren't they always the ones trying to bring Isiah down? Poor Isiah, how can he help it if some women can't accept that he can 'get' better women now.

Isaiah is being railroaded in the press and in the court of public opinion. He doesn't have a controversial personal history. I work in the cable tv industry as a line auditor. When I go to womens' homes to interrupt the service because it is illegally connected, I have women pratically throwing themselves at me over cable! A partner of mine was weak with one lady and she called and reported him for sexual harrassment. This is over cable tv. Now, replace that scenario with 6 million dollars. I was there and at no point did my partner initiate the inuendo. Isaiah may be a poor executive but his character has never been a question.

thomas is like any other person that breaks the law, he thinks he is beyond it. just like bryant. so why even publicize it.

Another guilty before trial scenario .accusations are what they are accusations .Why dont we just burn people like the salem witch trials?
