After the U.S. Men's National Team called up Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson on Monday, the club was pressed to sign a goalkeeper for Sunday's game against Chivas USA at Toyota Park and Tuesday announced it had signed Alec Kann.

Kann will backup Paolo Tornaghi who is expected to start in goal on Sunday.

Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson has been selected by U.S. Men's National Team coach Jurgen Klinsmann for FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Costa Rica at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. on March 22 and against Mexico at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on March 26.

The Fire announced Thursday that Estonian attacking center midfielder Joel Lindpere has been selected by Estonian National Team manager Tarmo Rüütli to represent his country in upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against the Netherlands on March 22 and against Andorra on March 26.

The Fire announced Tuesday that WPWR My50 Chicago will be the club's television broadcast partner for the 2013 season. Coverage will begin with the Fire's game against Chivas USA on March 24 at Toyota Park.

My50 Chicago is expected to televise as many 23 of the Fire's games, 20 of which will be available in HD. The Fire is currently slated to appear on national television 16 times this season.

The Fire announced Friday that it had signed 2013 MLS SuperDraft pick Yazid Atouba who the club selected with the 30th overall pick.

Atouba, a 20-year old Cameroonian national, has been with the Fire throughout the duration of training camp where he has impressed the club's coaching staff.

Considered somewhat of a project due to his age, Atouba has proven to have the ball skills and speed that could make him a key substitute in the late stages of games this season. The left-footed midfielder scored two goals this preseason against the Columbus Crew on Jan. 30 and Chivas USA on Feb. 5.
