For some weeks Quincy Amarikwa had been in training camp with the Fire in anticipation that the cliub would orchestrate a trade with Toronto FC, which owned his MLS rights.

That trade became official on Wednesday when Fire announced it had sent a first-round selection in the 2014 MLS Supplemental Draft to Toronto in exchange for Amarikwa.
