Fire newcomers transitioning with ease

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Fire striker Chris Rolfe knows as well as anyone what it's like to get acclimated to a new team.

Rolfe spent the first five years of his professional career with the Fire before going to Denmark where he played for three seasons. He returned to the Fire in the middle of this season but was just one of the many mid-season signings.

The Fire signed Dutch striker Sherjill MacDonald and Brazilian midfielder Alex and traded for midfielders Alvaro Fernandez and Wells Thompson.

Rolfe has been pleasantly surprised as to how smooth the transition has been for all the newcomers.

"There are a lot of variables that go into a player coming into a new team and finding his form and for us recently it hasn't been a problem. Guys have been great and just stepped into the lineup.
