Make no mistake: as of now the Fire plans to keep outside midfielder Patrick Nyarko who is amidst the best professional season of his career.

But for the 26-year old Ghanian, it's nice for him to know that is hasn't gone unnoticed. Fire head coach Frank Klopas relayed to reporters after Wednesday's training session that the Fire has gotten calls from other clubs showing interest in Nyarko.

He has two goals and three assists for the Fire this season, having started all 18 of the team's MLS games this season.

"We always get calls about Patrick and a lot of teams want the player," Fire head coach Frank Klopas said.

"As a guy that's able, with his pace, to be able to create, to be dangerous. A guy that, 90 minutes, sometimes you don't get the output going forward as far as the goal-scoring or from an assist standpoint, he works great defensively in his ability to break plays down and stop situations and give us an opportunity to go on a break."
