The Fire confidence is at an all time high this season after a stretch of five games in which it boasts a record of 3-0-1.
That can largely be credited to its defense which has protected Fire leads to perfection. The Fire is 5-0-0 when scoring the first goal and has not lost when taking a lead into halftime.
"We are able to play pretty good in the defensive shape and I told you last time it's not about the back four," center back Arne Friedrich said prior the team's game against the Los Angeles Galaxy at Toyota Park on Sunday. "It's also the midfielders and strikers. They have to start to defend and we did it good in the last couple of games and this is the key to winning games."
