The Fire loaned Colombian midfielder Rafael Robayo to Club Deportivo Millonarios, a Categoría Primera A Colombian side, the team announced Thursday.

The 28-year old Robayo joined the Fire on January 9, 2012 after seven years with Millonarios. He appeared in 15 games for the Fire, starting three.

As has been highly anticipated for the past three weeks, the Fire announced Tuesday that the team had signed Dutch striker Sherjill MacDonald.

He will be added to the roster as soon as the Fire can free up an international roster spot and will occupy the second of the Fire's three Designated Player slots.

Make no mistake: as of now the Fire plans to keep outside midfielder Patrick Nyarko who is amidst the best professional season of his career.

But for the 26-year old Ghanian, it's nice for him to know that is hasn't gone unnoticed. Fire head coach Frank Klopas relayed to reporters after Wednesday's training session that the Fire has gotten calls from other clubs showing interest in Nyarko.

You won't find a more professional player on the Fire roster than Chris Rolfe which is why he said and did all the right things when he was relegated to a role as a super sub immediately following his return from a sprained ankle.

The Fire confidence is at an all time high this season after a stretch of five games in which it boasts a record of 3-0-1.

That can largely be credited to its defense which has protected Fire leads to perfection. The Fire is 5-0-0 when scoring the first goal and has not lost when taking a lead into halftime.

Major League Soccer has suspended Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham for his team's game against the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park on Sunday.
