Fire head coach Frank Klopas and centerback Jalil Anibaba will not appeal suspensions that will keep them out of Friday's game against Chivas USA at the Home Depot Center.
Klopas was dismissed from Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Seattle Sounders for using language abusive to an official. Klopas acknowledged after Tuesday's training session that he did exchange words with the referee.
Anibaba was given a red card for his challenge in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time during that game. He was not carded on the field because after the challenge a melee ensued between both teams. The referee elected not to isolate Anibaba and issue him the red card, instead choosing to break up the post-game fight and get both teams off the field.
