The Seattle Sounders have had success applying heavy pressure up the field in matches this season. But if the Fire back line is able to sustain the Sounders attack, Seattle's style could benefit a Fire club that excels in the counterattack.
If Seattle is to bring its back line up, that will leave more room for the Fire's speedy forwards.
"The further up the field that they like to press, that leaves more space in the back obviously for [forwards] Patrick [Nyarko] and Dominic [Oduro] who are lightening," outside back Dan Gargan said. "So I think it's a bit of a double-edged sword. If they want to press higher up the field I think we definitely have a good enough midfield to pass through them."
