Fire head coach Frank Klopas and center back Jalil Anibaba have been suspended by the league for Friday's game against Chivas USA at the Home Depot Center.
According to the referee's report, Anibaba was issued a red card for a challenge in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Seattle. Anibaba was involved in a scuffle with the Sounder's Marc Burch immediately after the whistle sounded at the end of the match. Benches cleared in an effort to separate the players. It was some five minutes before the clubs cleared the field after the game.
Klopas was dismissed by the referee after the game which resulted in his suspension.
