The Fire announced Thursday that the club has re-signed Ghanaian forward Patrick Nyarko. The Fire selected Nyarko seventh overall in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.
Nyarko, who has played in 99 games with the Fire, leads the club over the past four seasons with 19 assists. He also has the ability to play in the midfield and gives the club versatility.
With good foot skills, Nyarko has been an excellent compliment to fellow striker Dominic Oduro this season.
"Keeping Patrick with the Fire was a big goal of ours over the last year," Fire head coach Frank Klopas said in a team statement. "With his speed and ability to change pace, he's shown to be one of the most threatening attackers in MLS over the last few years and is key to our attack."
