Logan Pause to stay in midfield for now

Fire captain Logan Pause put to bed any rumors that he might make a move from midfielder to outside back.

The coaching staff has had no formal discussion with Pause regarding a position change. But that doesn't mean Pause doesn't expect to be moved around this season.

"There are times in every year that I've played that I've played multiple roles throughout preseason, throughout the regular season," Pause said.

"The staff knows that I can play in a couple different spots. So I think that sometimes helps know they have covered different places."

Pause, returning for his second year as Fire captain, has started in at least 26 games over the past four seasons for the Fire.
