Sunday Stars -- Week 4

1. David Garrard - Jaguars
Vs. Titans

If Garrard's big day would have happened in the first three weeks, it likely would have gone unnoticed in the fantasy world. Unless you're in a 20-team league or something, you probably aren't starting David Garrard as your fantasy quarterback. But with bye weeks forcing fantasy owners to go to their benches this week, some owners may have been lucky enough to have Garrard in the starting lineup this week.

Garrard had his way against a depleted Titans secondary on Sunday, finishing with 323 yards and three touchdowns. He won't do it every week, but he doesn't need to. If you started Garrard this week, it's a win, win. Your starter will be back soon, and your backup put up a huge effort in his place.

2. Rashard Mendenhall - Steelers
Vs. Chargers

The pride of Niles West finally had the breakout Steeler Nation has been waiting for.

Mendenhall torched San Diego for 165 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, all while averaging 5.7 yards per carry. So much for the Steelers ground woes, eh?

Mendenhall is probably already gone in most leagues, but he'd be a great waiver wire pickup right now. It looks like he going to continue to get carries in Pittsburgh.

Hey guys,

Couldn't find your normal waiver wire columns like you had last year so i figure i'd ask you here. I'm in a standard league that starts 2 RB and 3 WR. This weekend my starters are

RB - Slaton, Coffee
WR - Smith (NYG), Ochocinco, and Bowe

Should i stick with that lineup or add one of the following?

RB - Hightower, J. Harrison, or Moreno
WR - N. Washington, S. Rice, or S. Breaston

If i do add one of those guys, i'm thinking of dropping Dustin Keller for them as my TE1 is Greg Olson. Thanks for your advice!

Ricky responds: Hey sorry, my partner moved onto greener pastures so things are a little different around here this year. That was his column. I am happy to answer any questions into the comment section, though.

I like Knowshon Moreno a lot and think he could be in for a big week against the Pats. Cornell Buckhalter is a bit dinged up, and Moreno has been getting more carries anyway. I'd probably axe Coffee after this week if he doesn't explode.
