Pitching
Ubaldo Jimenez - Rockies
vs Pirates
8 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 6 K
As I always say whenever someone schools Pittsburgh, this should come with an asterisk. Even Jeff Samardzija could probably get out Pirates hitters at this point.
Don't let it hide the fact that Jiminez has been very good this season. At just 25, he looks like a front-line player in keeper leagues. He strikes out a ton of guys and has cut down on his walks.
He's 7th in the NL in K's right now with 140. If he keeps that up, Jimenez will be a force in 5x5 leagues for years to come.

Hitting
CF Hunter Pence - Astros
@ Marlins
2-5, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 2 R
The Astros are struggling to stay alive in the NL Central, but Pence hasn't been pulling his weight, lately. After a scorching May, he failed to hit over .260 in June and July.
His season numbers are still very good, though. You'd like to see some more stolen bases, and maybe a bit more power, but Pence is just fine. You can't build a fantasy team around him, but he can be a big cog in a winning one.
