Pitching
Matt Cain - Giants
vs. A's
CG, 1 ER, 9 K, 4 H
Cleveland's Cliff Lee drew all the headlines Sunday by taking a no-hitter into the 8th inning against the Cardinals, but Cain may have been even better against the lifeless A's. It shouldn't be a surprise. Lately, Cain has been the pitcher in the National League.
The win was Cain's ninth of the year, which ties him with Chad Billingsley of the Dodgers for the most in the league. Yesterday made it six straight starts that ended with a W next to his name.

Hitting
C Ronny Paulino - Marlins
@ Blue Jays
4-5, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R
After bouncing around a few years in Pittsburgh, it appears Paulino may have finally found a home in Florida. He's been serviceable at the plate all year, but had a career day on Sunday in Toronto.
He won't make the Pirates forget about Nate McLouth anytime soon, but it's nice to see a downtrodden franchise like Pittsburgh start to acquire some young talent.
