No Pirates cracked our top ten list of best players in the NL Central, but McLouth could change that next year. The 27-year old center fielder was a revelation last season, and continues to prove that, despite playing in Pittsburgh, he warrants your attention for fantasy purposes.
Sure would be nice if the South Siders could swing a trade for him, huh?
Pitcher
Jake Peavy - Padres
Vs. Reds
W, CG, 4 H, 1 ER, 8 K
That's the pitcher the Cubs were after this offseason. Peavy has been up and down this year, but he blew the doors off a pretty good Cincinnati lineup last night.
For fantasy owners, the Padres can't trade Peavy soon enough. I doubt it will happen anytime soon, but San Diego's putrid offense is truly tarnishing the fantasy numbers of one of the pitchers in the game.
