Player of the Night
Adam Lind, Toronto Blue Jays
vs. Detroit Tigers
4-5, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 2 R
Is Lind going to finally take advantage of the talent that had many believing he was one of the elite prospects in the game?
If last night was any indication Lind may be primed for a breakout season.
Lind did most of his damage in the third inning, belting a three-run shot off of Tigers reliever Eddie Bonine and ending up with a 4-for-5 day at the plate.
Not bad for Opening Day.

Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners

Bust of the Night - MLB
CC Sabathia, New York Yankees
vs. Baltimore Orioles
4.1 IP, 6 ER, 5 BB, 8 H, 12.46 ERA
Sabby goes bust for the Bronx in his debut wearing the pinstripes.
But be patient with the big fella because he is a notoriously slow starter and comes on when it matters most when the weather starts to warm up. Though you can't be too excited about your ace looking clueless against a talented in some spots, mediocre everywhere else Orioles lineup.
Either way, expect a few more rough outings before Sabathia hits full stride.
