Player of the Night
David West, New Orleans Hornets
vs. Sacramento Kings
40 points, 9 boards, 6 dimes, block,
Mr. West makes his first appearance as our Player of the Night while playing through an ankle injury that's slowed him down some recently. Is there a better player in the NBA that doesn't get the kind of recognition he deserves than West?
The first player that comes to mind is Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers, but other than that, West leads the bunch. He's more than capable of popping off for 35+ on any given night and his averages of 20.5 ppg and 8.4 rpg make West an ideal starting PF for any fantasy squad.
He also just happens to play alongside the best point guard in the Association, Chris Paul, and takes full advantage of it. The Hornets are heading on the road to take on the Clippers and Warriors the next couple days, games West should be able to dominate.

Bust of the Night
Allen Iverson, 76ers
vs. Hawks
11 points, 2 dimes, 1 board, 3 TO, 18 minutes played
This is really starting to get awkward.
The Pistons knew what they were getting in Iverson, a natural born scorer who would kill himself trying to win. Instead, Pistons GM Joe Dumars made the move sending Chauncey Billups to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for A.I. for the sole purpose of clearing cap space for the 2010 free agent extravaganza.
A player of A.I.'s caliber shouldn't be forced to go through this and it's an absolute waste of talent to leave him rotting away at the end of your bench. He's in the twilight of his career and to not allow him a last shot at winning a title is an injustice that should not go overlooked.
