Player of the Night
Tony Parker, San Antonio Spurs
vs. Golden State Warriors
30 points, 10 dimes, 3 boards, 65% FG
If you had to choose, who from the Spurs would you rather have on your fantasy team heading down the stretch?
Tony Parker or Tim Duncan?
My money's on the Frenchman and so too should yours.
Find out why after the jump...
The beauty of Tim Duncan's game is that he does whatever his team needs him to do and does it at a level higher than the majority of players in the NBA. And right now this team only needs him to be the interior presence while playing second fiddle on the offensive end to Tony Parker.
While Chris Paul and Deron Williams have made a name for themselves as point guards who are fearless driving to the lane, Parker had been doing it for years before they even left college. He can seemingly score in the paint at will without losing his ability to run an offense and net you a high volume of assists.
Duncan will deliver in the playoffs but it's Parker who you want to take you there.

Bust of the Night
Corey Maggette, Golden State Warriors
vs. San Antonio Spurs
6 points, 3 boards, 2 TO, 1-for-8 from the floor
Remember when we thought Maggette would thrive in a full throttle, Don Nelson led offense?
He's done anything but, failing to find his niche on a team that has struggled to recapture the magic from their playoff run not too long ago. Maggette is a natural born scorer and an absolute beast on top of it. But when his shot's not falling, don't look for Maggette to make up for it in other ways like other NBA stars.
