Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic
vs. New Jersey Nets
30 points, 16 boards, 2 blocks, 3 steals

Have we become too accustomed to watching Dwight Howard dominate the competition night in and night out?

The man is an absolute force that cannot be stopped, especially when faced with a rookie center like Brooke Lopez.

More after the jump...

The youngin has been playing well for the Nets, but having to deal with the likes of a Dwight Howard is something that cannot be prepared for.

We remember his Superman dunk/layup/tip-in from last year's Slam-Dunk competition, but he's so much more than that.

Just to give you some numbers:

Jan. 4: This is the last time Howard failed to record a double-double.

6: Number of times Howard has had at least 20 rebounds in a game this season.

9: Number of times Howard has had at least 5 blocks in a game this season.

This man cannot be taken for granted, nor can his abilities be explained in words.

Top Performers

Kevin Durant, Thunder
vs. Sacramento Kings
39 points, 7 boards, 4 dimes, 2 blocks, 3-for-4 from deep

Caron Butler, Wizards
vs. Indiana Pacers
35 points, 13 boards, 3 dimes

Steve Nash, Phoenix Suns
vs. Detroit Pistons
15 points, 21 dimes!

Bust of the Night

Al Jefferson, Minnesota Timberwolves
vs. New Orleans Hornets
25 points, 14 boards

I'm sure you wondering how a guy with a stat line like that could possibly end up as the 'Bust of the Night'.

Because his knee exploded into a million little pieces after trying to corral a rebound against the Hornets last night. I'm not a doctor, but the way his knee looked and his reaction was all I needed to see.

You may be without the big man's services for an extended period of time.

Kevin Love anyone?
