The Best B-Rated Movie Trailers Ever!

Each year, as film critics publish their top 10 lists, I can't help but feel a pang of genuine empathy for those who go unheralded - all those hard working wannabes and former television stars who'd poured their heart and souls into making the best bad movie they could, dammit. Seriously, there's an art to making crap and I think we should celebrate it!  And so for what it's worth, here's my top 10 list of "The Best B-Rated Movie Trailers Ever!" - Marie Haws, Ebert Club Secretary.

10 - Message from Space (1978)

9 - Warlords of Atlantis (1978)

8 - The Black Scorpion (1957)

7 - William Castle's The Night Walker (1964)

6 - The Land Unknown

5 - The Green Slime

4 - Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus (2009)

3 - Mega Shark Vs. Crocosaurus (2010)

2 - Argoman (1967)

1 - Sharktopus (2010)

Right. Psychotronic film. Fortunately this is a self-sustaining (and well-loved neighborhood of film fanatics, so pity is irrelevant. "Citizen Kane" is a much-praised and well-respected piece of art, but not nearly as beloved -- ever -- as a "Glen or Glenda" or "Evil Dead II". But thanks for the heads-up! Come 'round to our side of the street anytime.

Number 7 should be titled The Night Walker, not The Night Stalker.

Message from Space takes the prize - It literally looked like the swwirly planet was the director's bowling ball and why is the Space ship captain guy like in a skippers outfit? It's like somebody was like go to the costume store and get me a captain's outfit and they left with the outfit for the guy who was the captain on the love boat.
