I wonder if anyone had the forethought to perhaps keep the poster board Dali had signed his name to?

Thanks for this one. What fun. Been watching more and more of these. Will ask you the same question Dorothy Kilgallen asked Hitch on a 1954 show, "Have you been to Harry's Bar in Venice?" Hitch said, "Yes,in 1939." Later she added she had just met Jimmy(Stewart) there. This was REAR WINDOW time.

Anyone who signs in that way gets my complete respect.

This is perfect; it's actually art itself, in its way, making one more thing Dali could have put on his resume. With absolutely no effort, artlessly, it ends up a send-up of the whole concept of having a particular "line" and defining yourself by it. Accidental art is art too. Thanks for the link.

I should add that even Orson Welles, a man who could turn even the most insipid TV interview into a work of art, failed to make anything of his appearance on this show. Dali had a real knack.

Paul, that is a wonderful comment. It reminds me of the Warhol quote "Art is what you can get away with."
