When David met George

1989Giza.jpg Larry J. Kolb is a spy who came in from the cold. Retiring after 20 years in CIA covert operations, he penned Overworld: The Life and Times of a Reluctant Spy. Then he did an investigation for the Department of Homeland Security that led to his 2007 best-seller, America at Night: The True Story of Two Rogue CIA Operatives, Homeland Security Failures, Dirty Money, and a Plot to Steal the 2004 U.S. Presidential Election.
Now he goes on assignment for Roger Ebert's Journal, using skills developed in the field. New reconnaissance appears at the top; older scrolls off the bottom. Comments are open.

A reader asked, "What is the relationship between Kolb's videos?" The answer is: None.

I once tried to make a short film about David Lynch and post it on YouTube; I like to think that Mr. Lynch saw it and immediately picked up his direct-line phone to YouTube Corporate and demanded they take it down. More likely, his production company just didn't like the fact that I used footage from the Eraserhead DVD (one of my prized possessions). Anyways, it uses Lynch's persona and voice in a similar (though less creative and funny) way and I figured I should link it here, from Blogspot, the only place on the Internet that will have it (scroll down):

It's actually not "a film by David Lynch." Though it uses his audio, the animation was done by another fellow. It is a great little short though!
