That's Bobby Deniro!

Is that you, De Niro? - Yeah, I'm talking to you, it's a simple question. - Yes, yes, I just wanted to say your hair looked nice, jeez.

Ah, yes, Dustin Hoffman it is.

It's Bob, before "Raging Bull" and all the rest. Great stuff, thanks for sharing.

DeNiro?

It took a minute, but Wow.

Robert DeNiro? Dustin Hoffman was doing VW ads.

If Bobby can't sell me a Hot Comb, I don't know who can.

Robert DeNiro? When Dustin Hoffman was doing VW ads?

Gotta' be Ilie Năstase, that tennis guy from the 70's.

Wait - is that really him!?

Gene Siskel

It looks like a very young Robert de Niro.

Roger, i think the comment link on your blog suntimes is NOT working at this moment in Internet time. check.
3 minutes ago · LikeUnlike.Danny Bloom notes the funy guy who posted the ad earlier on his blog goofy soemtuing

"Here's an interesting magazine ad I came across... if I'm not mistaken, that's Robert Fucking De Niro (!) who apparently needed whatever money he made from this ad whi...le he was shooting the likes of Mean Streets and The Godfather 2. Actually, this appears to just predate those two films - I'm guessing this showed up in magazines circa 1972/3? And I imagine it was actually photographed a while before that.

I dunno, maybe this is old news? What did just occur to me, though, that I've never heard mentioned: How is it that the two actors (Richard Thomas & Robert De Niro) who played characters named, respectively, "John-Boy" & "Johnny Boy", both have distinctive moles on their faces?

Anyway, the next time I'm getting ready to "bump off" a Mafioso, I'll be sure I look the part and prepare my coif with a Remington Hot Comb.

I remember I used to have a copy of the ad. It originally appeared in Playboy.

Thought it was DeNiro... but wasn't sure until I zoomed in to see the "beauty" mark.

Anton Chigurh
