You need a couple of square feet, rice, water, and just about anything you feel like cooking.

Ebert, seriously.

How do you manage to do so many amazing things? You have lived at least as much as ten people combined.

I am impressed as always. :)

Your little tweets about "the pot knows" have intrigued me. I've pre-ordered your book, but am wondering if you have any tips for buying a rice cooker. I have noticed that the model you use doesn't seem to be available.

Ebert: The essential thing for a beginner is to choose a simple two-setting Heat/Warm model for starters, and consider fancier, more expensive models only later.

Just bought the Zojirushi 3-cup. Used it for dinner 2 nights in a row. Making my first oatmeal (organic, steel-cut, with some teff thrown in and dried sweet cherries soon to be added). I am in love. Thank you, Mr. Ebert.

Can you use a slow cooker in lieu of a rice cooker? My mother bought me one for Xmas and I don't know what to cook in it. My slow cooker has 3 levels - high and low and warm. Or would the heat levels be too low?

Vanilla Quinoa pudding. Into the Pot: 3 cups milk, 1 c quinoa, split vanilla bean, a little maple syrup, pinc salt. Pot knows how popular you will become.

Great General information!!! Love your site

The rice cooker is a miracle especially for someone trying to lose weight. I don't cook. But I can make wondrous things in my rice cooker. veggies, chicken, brown rice... soups... oatmeal even (my favorite)

i am so in love with the girl in the first one! could she be any cuter? bought an aroma 3 cup a few weeks ago and am wearing it out. i like to make pasta in mine. 1 cup elbows, 1 1/14 cup water, italian spices, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, chicken. the pot knows!

Wonder if you ever add a little pot into the Pot?

You may need to fiddle with it just a little bit to get a feel for your settings, but all the meals of The Pot can easily be done in a slow cooker.

A spiritual Bouquet to he who was not kidding about: 'cooking your oatmeal in Pure Coconut Water'.. --tastes so good, it ought to be a sin!
