Gordon Wittenmyer reports the Cubs are expected to fly home after tonight's game in St. Louis.
They were scheduled to fly to Houston after the game, but Ike - which is expected to be a Category 3 hurricane when it hits land near Houston late tomorrow or early Saturday - has changed plans.
The Astros announced that Friday and Saturday games are postponed, but they're still hoping to get a doubleheader in either Sunday or Monday and play the three games.
Good luck on having the Cubs fly in Saturday, which is supposed to be when the Hurricane - which could be a Category 3 - makes landfall.
Bad timing after the Cubs finally win a game. So much for momentum.
But the same thing happened to the Marlins, who had to play at the Cell a few years ago, and it didn't affect them.

Am I the only person that thinks it’s ironic that Lance Berkman walked of the field during a lightening storm at Wrigley and then roundly criticized the officiating and the Cubs organization for not calling the game sooner? Yet he keeps his trap shut when the Cubs are supposed to fly into what might be the worst storm to hit Houston in years. Unreal. Everyone should go to Atlanta and play, its only fair.
