As was the case during the girls season, the Pepsi Showdown will feature a number of showdowns on Sundays this fall season at area colleges.

Some of the teams will be from the 2009 Pepsi Showdown, while others will take part in these showcases to earn more exposure for their players and teams.

I think the games in the pepsi showdown have been excellent. I thought that in tournament play that penalty shootouts would be more exciting but I was wrong the use of the IHSA rules for shootouts added to the intensity. Nequa tied Geneva and it went to shootouts. Does the tie count as a tie for the record or a win loss because the old rules recorded it as a tie. If so this should be recorded as a tie by Nequa and the record book? This was true for the best of the midwest tie? What is different
Nonethe less two good teams went at it and it was a shame to call one party an overwhelming winner?
